Like many who might read this, I have had bouts of complete disdain for Senator John McCain. It's hard to forgive him the VP choice he made when running for the highest office in the nation.
But my current take on him, this man who knows he is fading into the history books, is that he still has something to teach us about patriotism.
The critique of his past as a captured warrior not being satisfactory to the Commander-In-Chief has ratcheted up again.
Today he is being warned not to continue to cross the Toddler. The Toddler has mean stuff planned to unleash.
It is deplorable, to use a word often associated with the cowardly man who on occasion when not golfing inhabits The White House.
Here today in an article from another online blogging site is the speech given by McCain yesterday, one that has the potential to be quoted time and again as indicative of what it means to have had patriotism, not nationalism and self aggrandizement, at one's core.
