From t h e Repertoire of My Jazz Experience

I perform solo these days.... However, there was a time when I would kick it in jam sessions and club dates with 4, 5, 6, or 7 other musicians...

We taught and learned from each other but mostly we learned from listening to the jazz masters who gave us our inspiration, our incentive, and our repertoire....

The selections presented here are all original performances by the musicians who composed and arranged the pieces being played....

Each piece is a jazz classic. They were staples in the repertoire of any/every group that I had the honor and pleasure of performing or jamming with...

I saw Adderly with his brother in concert not very long before he died. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a concert more in any genre, and for me that is a major list covering a lot of genres.
