Here's a flash: Fox has no black production managers or executives...
Just how do you think I can make that statement with a high degree of confidence that it is accurate?
How very disappointing even in non solicited comments the racism affecting all of us prevails and applauded by POTUS. How is it that ordinary folks without the privileged opportunities manage to be respectful and express condolences at the appropriate time, using appropriate references and identifying the actual deceased correctly. Sad, exceedingly saddened by this lack of respect perpetrated once again.
Thanks for the comment Jayne, and thanks for bringing this to my attention....
You could call it a disgrace. You could call it the most un-professional "news" outlet since Pravda. You could call them all stupid fucking haoles and white trash. Or, you could just admit it, they watch NASCAR and listen to Rascal Flats ... forget our Mama Aretha, RIP, they couldn't tell you who the Pointer Sisters, Nina Simone, Diana Ross, ad nauseum are, flat out wouldn't recognize them as they are not officially CSA sanctioned by any Grand Wizards, and won't be anytime soon, if ever, not forget that, never.
Now, Kanye, they will show him, and if that asshole R. Kelly does not keep throwing up his trash and handing it to them he'll be on too, along the the 3 Black Panthers still living in Philadelphia.
When I first heard about it I actually had to check out Snopes (who I hate) to see if someone was actually that stupid.
To me that was a textbook example of just how insidious racism can be. I'm betting that not a damn regular Fox believing "sheeple" would have noticed and, if on the million to one chance that they would have, they would have simply blown it off.
I DO wonder just how "innocent" the mistake was by on Fox New's part, however. (seeing as how Franklin and LaBelle had a pretty public feud that could have been some serious shade.)
Seriously? I shouldn’t be surprised.
Amy, if it wasn't 'innocent', it wasn't a mistake...
"I'm betting that not a damn regular Fox believing "sheeple" would have noticed..."
You win your bet...
Even if the people who have Fox on 24/7 could tell the difference they wouldn't care. Neither Patti Labelle nor Aretha Franklin are "them".
On a more hopeful note I saw that the first fully integrated charter school in Sumter County, Alabama; Alabama's, poorest and blackest county, just opened, and the all white "Academy" closed for lack of students. It's only taken 50 years.
