don't try this at homey
An acquaintance of mine on Facebook tried telling me I was actually playing my Skilsaw in D major. That person was, obviously, some kinda Hittite.
And wrong. Before I read the first comment, I pulled the only pitch I could off the video, which happened when you actually hit wood. Past that it was closer to white noise. I hummed it to myself and went over to the piano. It was a C. Might have been a guess on your part, but you were right to my ear through an IPad speaker.
As to minor, that's trickier. I can't tell you why but it has more of a minor feel than a major one to me, though the overtone series would theoretically make major much more likely. Of course, not all pitches in this mix come from the fundamental I can detect.
Want to know the weird part? I'm actually not bullshitting you.
I believe you, Kosh. One of the things I most like about you is that you seem to be more or less completely bullshit free, and that is far rarer of a personality trait than one might think. Do you ever listen to Nine Inch Nails? Music critics pigeonhole them as "industrial," and maybe they are, but if you ask me Trent Reznor is one of the unsung geniuses of the post-grunge hard rock scene.
NIN have better tracks, but I like that one for the political message in it. Now, here, with a somehow retroactively-affiliated message, is good ol Elvis -
that's a great video of elvis and the mumfords. super!
that slays me - the brits do our folk/soul/blues every bit as good as we do.
nana, your saw made my backteeth scream!
The video captured the sound pretty faithfully, but I was disappointed that you can barely see any sparks, let alone the cool, purplish flames that were flickering right where the saw blade was screeching through that nut.
