He is without a doubt the best Rock  guitar player ever. He died so young. Imagine what he could have learned now, with better equipment and digital?

Unorthodox as would be expected. The octave strings on the lower pitched four strings are 99.9%  of the time on the downside of the string they set next. Hendrix has these strung on the upward side. I wonder if that was his choice or a roadie who was too high to know how to do it in the traditional fashion.
