last poll before iowa came out today.

hillary 45, bernie 42.

in the past week i have been called ignorant, a libertarian, and an anarchist, for picking him over her.

which i can handle, of course.

it's just odd to me, that on the dem side, we should be trying to take away people's right to vote for whoever they want, unmolested by condescending harassment.

i guess violent discourse has always been the american way. since before there was an america, the founding fathers fought hard over how they thought things should best be.

but i still dont like it.

It used to be bloody battles in the streets over who would lead.  This all seems very civil after all that.

Never talk politics or religion at the Thanksgiving Dinner table.

But you weren't called a Socialist
which is sort of telling

At 42 points, they can stop treating him like a joke

I don't understand calling names over politics. Especially within the same party. There is such hatred for Clinton, though. The conservatives certainly have managed to spread their ugly infection. Even with my R brother, who now says maybe Trump, I just say, "Ohh, Timm..." in my most disappointed voice. Further discussions are issue based except I have started telling him that if he must listen to Rush he should at least try to get some news elsewhere. And I always reserve the right to call Rush names.

It's really very funny that someone would be called a libertarian or anarchist for planning to vote for an avowed socialist.

BTW: Excluding incumbents, except for Obama, Clinton and Carter the Iowa Caucuses haven't picked a Democratic President since 1972 and since 1976 Iowans have only picked one Republican President George W Bush in 2000.  Most times Iowa don't mean diddly-squat to any candidate with money.
