Darkness descends
And engulfs the spirit
Who knew the weight of nothingness
Could devour a person

Waiting is a crippling state
Prayers are repetitive sounds
Everyday tilts into the next
Exhaustion is a daily companion

Nothing is like before
Life feels so very different
The past is clear
The present is murky, the future unknown

Now is something completely alien
Working at putting the pieces together
Hoping the darkness gives way to light
Making the path clear out of this madness

"TBI: and just like that everything was suddenly different!"

Ohhh, this is just right for these days... so sorry if this is especially personal to you. It really can be so heavy:  nothingness.

May a lovely (metaphorically, even?) Spring day arrive soon.

Struggle is widespread, I think we all need to hang on to the idea that from that chaotic state comes success.  Thank you both for coming by, its so appreciated.

This is so beautifully expressed, MC.

these days sometimes make a person want to scream.   or double over into nothingness...like one's core is a black hole.

don't be swept away with such aloneness because you're not alone.  pain is universal.

Ahhhhh ... another poem from MC. Excellent. Platitudes are something I eschew, so I'll just say I hope that the fog lifts and your way becomes clear.
