When the Angels Cry

She was always anxious to fly

For she was so much more restless than I

Never knowing if what she said was a lie

Long past the time there is left to try,

And endless stories of when two Swans die

Can’t be helped when the angels cry,

We could be in the deepest blue sea

Seeking shelter just trying to get free

All this time it occurred to me

I could never get through even with a plea,

Endless tears spill into the sea

Emotions coming back to break me

Somewhere an angel sings so gently

Elsewhere an assassin bides his time sipping tea,

And all these thoughts scatter so free

Like twinkling stars in a nocturnal galaxy

And still you broke away from me

Shattering the illusion of our harmony,

And endless stories of when two Swans die

Can’t be helped when the angels cry,

Tears may wash the sadness from the sky

But memories persist between you and I

Happiness in life may just be a lie

When I awake in loneliness I can’t deny,

And endless stories of when two Swans die

Can’t be helped when the angels cry.
