MSNBC, Morning Joe Roundtable: Trump's Lawyer says Stormy Daniels poses a serious threat....

Now there is talk of possible photos of a much more intimate nature of Trump and the porn star.

When investigators start following the money on a seemingly innocuous matter like who paid the porn star and where did the money come from, it invariably can lead to something much more ominous.

When they pick up the money trail on this it can lead investigators in all sorts of directions re the source of the money and what other nefarious transactions may have occurred....

Questions are already beginning to swirl around the multi-million dollar surplus / "slush fund" the Trump Innauguration committee has yet to account for...

Then there's the off shore banks and undisclosed accounts that Trump clearly maintains connections with and/or control of despite the ethical and conflict of interest concerns...

Trump's lawyer,  Michael Cohen, is beginning to publicly whine about getting reimbursed for the 130 grand he shelled out to keep this woman quiet.

Where's the reimbursement money supposed to come from? Trump has already denied paying her "hush money"...

If they keep picking at this and other "loose threads" they may well begin to unravel Trump’s entire web of illegal and illicit schemes and conspiracies....

Nixon was forced to resign as the result of of bungled two-bit burglary that became the Watergate debacle which brought down an entire administration and presidency...

Hope for the best...

It can happen in this situation as well...

WTF is that photo-shopped BS pic doing here on International Women's Day?

Comment by Ron Powell on March 8, 2018 at 3:30pm

@AKA; You're right! Perhaps the discussion on MSNBC should not have taken place today. But it did.

The  photo-shopped photo is a kind of visual exclamation point on the post. Perhaps I shouldn't have used it here.  But I wanted to emphasize the nature of of the mentality, hence the "threat", of the slime ball we have as President...

Last year I did a piece on the top 10 female poker players in the world...

One might have objected to that as being inappropriate as well...

It's quite possible that this 'Stormy Daniels' woman will be instrumental in bringing down this abomination of an administration and presidency....

As I said, let's hope for the best, even if she becomes remarkable without intending to do so...

She and her lawyer seem to be prepared to stand up to attempts to bully her into remaining silent...

Porn star or not, I hope she succeeds in exposing another facet of the truth about Trump.

Thanks for the read and the comment.

"Perhaps I shouldn't have used it here."

Ya think, Ron???  I personally don't think an obvious piece of photo-shopped sexism qualifies as a "perhaps" at all.  That also certainly does not qualify as a " visual exclamation point".  What it does qualify as is salacious and crude male piggery.

OK...

You win...

Post has been edited and updated to reflect legitimate concerns and objections...

I'd much rather read commentary on the topic....

Thanks

Thank you.

As to your "follow the money" point of this piece, I find it interesting that:

1.)  Michael Cohen allegedly paid her $150K out of his own pocket, but is $40,000 in tax arrears?

2.)  If he paid her $150K out of his own pocket to settle a legal issue for his clients, that constitutes commingling of personal and client funds which, I believe, can get an attorney disbarred for fiduciary malfeasance.

The figure most often quoted is $130,000.

Really not a problem if there is an understanding between attorney and client prior to the transaction.

However, Trump denies paying "hush money"  and Cohen iis expecting reimbursement...

A rather awkward situation.

No fiduciary malfeasance has occurred yet but stay tuned....
