The following two images were tweeted by Donald Trump this morning. The one on the left was up for about two hours. It was then replaced by the one on the right.
There are some who view the first image as dog whistle politics. This is primarily due to the fact that some people don't know the difference between a dog whistle and a foghorn.
The guy has made cracks about Jews before. They've been clumsy and some have ignored them. This is different.
Up until now, there has been a tendency on the part of many, myself included, to think that there was only so far he would go in that direction because of his daughter and his grandchildren. At this point, I think the emphasis is about to shift to a different question: from "Can we give him a pass for minor antisemitic cracks because of Ivanka and his grandchildren?" to "Can we forgive Ivanka as a Jew for covering for this antisemite rather than protecting her kids and husband?"
There's nothing new about Trump's bigotry. That has become more and more obvious as his campaign progresses. What's new is that he allows his bigotry to include his daughter, son in law, and grandchildren.
I guess that's Trump's idea of Family Values.
