A few months in and no sense being knocked back and forth emotionally by Tweets, insults and other garbage distractions. Trump is not the cause, he is the disease caught. Lets take a little trip down memory lane:

What were the two most popular forms of White Entertainment prior to the wide acceptance of Radio in AmeriKKKa?

Blackface minstrel shows were one run by profiteering white "Thesbians" and just low grade haters. Jump Jim Crow, goes the song. And jump it did so you start to get the idea if your eyes are open. The 'theme' of these disgusting revolting primitive and evil performances focused on either the Mandingo- watch out! or the slow moving dense skulled Knee-Grow- "Duh, what does I's dos nex missuh bossman?" Remember, these were white actors trying their best to portray these mythical characters, and portray they did:

In 1828, white entertainer Thomas Rice darkened his face with burnt cork, costumed himself as a plantation slave, and won nationwide fame performing this song in variety theatres. He claimed that his inspiration was an elderly African American he found singing this tune near a stage door one night in Washington DC. Whatever its origins, "Jim Crow" became part of the language, eventually becoming a name for the laws and racist attitudes used to oppress blacks in the Southern United States in the 19th and 20th Centuries. It is generally believed that Rice's lasting success inspired the creation of minstrel shows.

The text here is taken from an early sheet music edition. Although undated, it appears to have been published in the late 1820's – oddly enough, no composer or lyricist is listed. The spellings and punctuation are as they appear in the original – all designed to reinforce an ugly racial stereotype. Rice continually added verses to spoof events of the day or fit special occasions. An early American edition of the sheet music (undated, but probably from the 1820's) includes 44 verses. Some are so racially insensitive that they are not included here.

Verse 1
Come listen all you galls and boys I's jist from Tuckyhoe,
I'm going to sing a little song, my name's Jim Crow,
Weel about and turn about and do jis so,
Eb'ry time I weel about and jump Jim Crow.

Verse 2
Oh I'm a roarer on de fiddle, and down in old Virginny,
They say I play de skyentific like Massa Pagannini.
Weel about and turn about and do jis so,
Eb'ry time I weel about and jump Jim Crow.

Verse 3
I went down to de riber, I didn't mean to stay,
But dere I see so many galls, I couldn't get away.
Weel about and turn about and do jis so,
Eb'ry time I weel about and jump Jim Crow.

Verse 4
I git upon a flat boat, I cotch de uncle Sam,
But I went to see de place where de kill'd Packenham.
Weel about and turn about and do jis so,
Eb'ry time I weel about and jump Jim Crow.

Verse 5
And den I do to Orleans and feel so full of fight,
Dey put me in de Calaboose and keep me dare all night.
Weel about and turn about and do jis so,
Eb'ry time I weel about and jump Jim Crow.

Now- White Folks get reminded about their sheet music. Most will not like hearing the truth, but here it comes, this will be a long post, We's a goin' back to da present!!! But, along the way, we shall examine how WHITE AMERICANS laughed to no end at vicious pathetic and highly primitive zero actually anything funny send-ups on Blacks and, in fact, it became by far their number one form of entertainment. You see, with the sheet music (most popular thing in the day for those good fun party times, all at others expense the whole time) this brought it all into the house, the saloon, HELL even the church if the pastor was a hater, and many were.

And, if you though it was just this Blackface rubbish garbage hating monster genre ... you are still clueless to the very short and easy ways to research and learn AmeriKKKan herstory.

Lets learn sumpin about Coon Callin. You folks, who done lived your whole lives under the biggest WHITEWASH ever attempted, (it failed, at least to historians and the educated) y'alls kin hear how the early big stars launched what would be their movie careers.

I'm sorry to start with a favorite of mine, Mae West. She lived life by her own standards, but she had to get rich first. How? Become a COON CALLER!!!

Tens of thousands of hating white folks showed up at theaters every night to hear West and many other Coon Callers perform on stages all over. What were the lyrics? All about the Mandingo threat, oversexed BLACK MEN who were on the prowl for any vagina and hoped for white ones!!! Or, little Sambo, who just yaaas suh Massuh followed around whoever could get him in the big house (The Sheet Music writers words, not mine, and these writers were from the famous Tin Pan Alley, and included household names- including the Whites most famous for the more sanitized songs they wrote. BTW, those were outsold by the racist ditties.) But, the very, very common theme of the 'songs' (I have to call them evil rhymes, not songs, but that is just me), well the common theme is "PASSING" ... one after another young white women like Mae West got up on stage and sang for hours about poor Black Folks (only by the one drop rule) who escaped to live as white and then hid under the bed for years out of paranoia of being exposed- your husband or wife might leave you, your kids might be turned into nigras, regardless of their appearance. Paper trail don't lie, actually it did, so now we have DNA exposing all these families as having great grandparents who were HATING LYING RACISTS.

How popular was this disgusting garbage? It was by far, far, far and large the MOST popular form of entertainment, often families singing round the pianos in their own homes that were more must haves for anyone with a buck or two back then. Imagine, they'd throw a party, invite a bunch of white folks, and dey' all dance around laughing and singing about how Remus loved him some fried chicken every Friday night before he getting up his energy and that SCARY libido of his and started up the weekly hunt for vulnerable white women. These RACIST HATING sheet music offerings generated hundreds of millions in revenue, that would be getting the equivalent approaching hundreds of billions now, (it was the number one form of entertainment, saying again!) which explains how much wigger white kids and all the other white kids today actually for the most part spend billions and billions on hip hop music they never listen to in the real hoods but for sure all day every day at home, all night cruising in the car, at parties and other get togethers (continually ensuring the top rap stars can become billionaires- on white money mostly which is all good with me) nothing you can do, hip hop sounds cool, it is cool!, especially to youngsters. So, you put the roots of that act and in it is the genesis of their style of dialoging words. Trying to continue control, the racist freaks flounder and freak, with one Gigantor mistake, (well, I don't think it is a mistake, but, again, that is just me) Just like the other phenomena that so called Southern Ladies all had developed these special sweet (black accents) as dem' was raise by de Mamies who was raised in the wonderful West African Hospitality traditions ... and the list goes on so long Ill be adding for a while and still never be done.

You left out Stepin Fetchit , Jack Benny's housemen/chauffeur Rochester and Amos & Andy all characters created in the tradition of minstrel show black face by white writers.

Worse yet there remains contemporary media often written and produced by African Americans that perpetuates the stereotype:

abg- Indeed, you are ee cummings-ing the crap out of this.

Terry- with respect, your comment is why this was wrote up. There are thousands of rich bullies out there- how many grew up in Archie Bunker's Queens, instinctively know what haters and especially Southern Haters think, then, put millions of their own dollars into a DOG WHISTLE campaign while leveraging Twitter to reach them directly, as did Father Coughlin with Radio who no doubt President Bannon studied up on.

What does it take for present or post Republicans to fess up like Lee Atwater on his dying bed? How many times must LBJ's Bill Moyers quote or H.R. Haldeman's eventual admissions about the Drug War need to be re-printed, re-posted and BROADCAST out? Who knows more than Atwater? WHO? What Acts did LBJ push through Congress again? How many generations short was he on losing the South?

JMac- don't worry, I've been painfully aware of those and so much more for as long as I've been alive. Given the chronologies you and I face now, I'll say again, I had the disgusting experience of living for a short but much too long time in the pre-Civil Rights South ... oh, I know what I'm talking about and your three are just a tiny few, anyone interested out to re-watch the end of Spike Lee's 'documentary' on all that went on for a refresher course ... my one interesting experience as a child in the SEGREGATED South? Shaking the hand of an old gentlemen who came to our nursery school who, still very alive, had been born a slave. I will never forget the feel of his hand, never felt anything like it before, or since.

abg- well, one thing you could NEVER say on the ol' Plantation was, "Woooork?" Little Gilligan would have been strung up in no time flat.

Bill Maher got himself some minstrel show laughter the other night.

The Republican Congressman claims it made him cringe as the audience laughed.

FM- free country, for now, free speech, as it were. I don't OWE anybody anything. Read the statistics, the problem is White America, love it or leave it. Roughly half have decided that having a Black Dude from Hawaii save them from their own implosion was just a little too traumatic to take, now that Obama got things back on track that is, so now it back to KKK all the way. Other than your own feelings about the False Notion of a White Race, a notion created during the early 1600s in America to keep Blacks and Natives down, and which then led to quite a few horrible problems world-wide we are still dealing with today after it was picked up on in Europe itself, anyway, pick out anything in the post that isn't accurate ... feel free, I stand by it.

"this is a world of exploitation and hate and greed. no one is exempt except the very very rich."

Precisely. So, if we go back to 1620 who actually did the doing? British elites, for the most part, under the Charter Colonies Contracts. Good old King Charles was especially horrible, but, this can be tracked to a number of sources directly, The London Company for one in particular. Those colonizers tried, as you say to exploit, to maximize profits by keeping both slaves, indentured servants, and the colonized natives themselves in unbearable conditions. When all 3 groups, and those are broad groups, revolted the Concept of Whiteness was first used to divide and conquer them. Problem? It worked so well it has continued throughout the Western World to this day virtually everywhere in one form or another.

Coon Songs are important to know about. They outsold Tin Pan Alley so called favorites 10-1. That inandofitself says quite a bit.

Now, your other observations are spot on, but, we have to be honest about the timeline to move forward. Until it is acknowledged factually there is no closure.

Terry- I don't tie anyone together. That is accomplished entirely by White Privilege, something neither Obama nor myself, though we both have Euro ancestors, benefit from, but you, and the vast majority of Catholics do. As to Father Coughlin ...

Not a vast majority, many though. Central/South America and Philippines have their own herstory of racial bias and segregation based on color, just with more tans and less freckles.

Trump certainly didn't invent racism. He just used the resentment racists feel for being denigrated and corrected.

Like they go through worse than the people they victimize.
