Trump Fires Rex Tillerson Leaving US Diplomacy in Turmoil

Trump Fires Rex Tillerson Leaving US Diplomacy in Turmoil:  Donald Trump threw US diplomacy into fresh turmoil on Tuesday by firing his Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who is said to have discovered his fate via Twitter.

So, our President uses Twitter to fire the Secretary of State of the United States?  On a positive note, at least he didn’t use a firing squad.  I’ll take getting firing by tweet any day over that knock on the door at 3 AM.  If I’m correct, I think about the only person that remains of Trump's staff since he launched his election campaign is his golf caddie.  On the other hand, I suppose that’s to be expected when you’ve appointed a cabinet primarily comprised of Bond villains.

And is it just me, or does it seem like anyone daring enough to join Trump's cabinet basically becomes about as expendable as one of his ex-wives?  Why, this guy changes staff more than the rest of us change channels - too bad more people didn’t change the channel when “The Apprentice” was on.  Perhaps someone ought to explain to the President that he isn’t on reality television anymore and he doesn’t need to fire someone every week - just to keep ratings up.  In the meantime who knows - maybe one day we’ll all get lucky and Trump might tweet his own self out of a job?

I think the problem reached a peak when Tillerson laughed at being ordered to "Eat your salad" at a dinner. Insubordinate adults are a pet peeve with the tweetie one.

Yea and I'll bet Trump also didn't like Tillerson's public condemnation of Russia after the recent attack in the UK.

I just wish James Emmerling were around so he could type through his adulation of Stephen Hawking! Of course he'd be protesting with the children, tweens et al re sanity and 2nd 'mendment!

Odd how the news &+international conversation creates & simultaneously/negates its 'lead' story.

We'll never look at a black hole the same way, will we gentlemen?
