Trump Consultants Exploited the Facebook Data of Millions

Trump Consultants Exploited the Facebook Data of Millions:  After it secured a $15 million investment from wealthy Republican donor Robert Mercer, the political consulting firm Cambridge Analytica obtained personal data from more than 50 million Facebook users without their permission and turned it all over to the Trump election campaign.  And that, my friends, is precisely why I always make it a point to never to post anything on social media that I wouldn't scribble all over the walls in a public restroom.

Trump Proposes Death Penalty for Drug Dealers:  President Trump told an audience in New Hampshire that he will quickly solve the opioid crises by imposing the death penalty for those drug dealers, arguing that the federal government is "wasting our time" if it isn't willing to put traffickers to death.  Which is rather interesting when you consider many people are in fact getting these opioids from their doctors.  On a positive note, if you’ve ever thought about going to med school, now might be a good time to apply.  Looks like there’s gonna be some vacancies on the horizon.

Pedestrian Killed By Driverless Car:  Sadly, a self-driving car, operated by Uber Technologies Inc. - struck and killed a pedestrian in Arizona in the first known fatality involving an autonomous vehicle, an accident that could damage the public perception of this young industry.  Well, let’s hope Uber doesn’t plan on testing their driverless cars in Sleepy Hollow.  I think they’ve got enough on their plates already - what with the headless horseman and all.

Log in and what do you see, the same info I was trying for a year to get many here to digest ... told you Internet insiders already knew, but, heard nothing but a bunch of ridicules amateur push-back. Well, now you see it all, right out in the open ... the Trumpster Dumpsters are soooooooo stupid and hate filled they will follow and believe anything they see on facebook if it comes from what they consider a "reliable source" translation a Grand Wizard or alt right dick-wad. You guys starting to get it yet? And we who know know way more, this is just the beginning of the revealing of how the imbecilic hater credulous KKK members of remote Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan fucked over the whole world by thinking they were better than others just because they were white, and they were upset nobody gave them a job, even though many couldn't pass the opiod drug tests, and the same jobs actually went to immigrants who have been doing smashingly good work at them, blowing away the so called great Americans. There will be a lot more to come, none of the data is delete-able, it exists in too many places. Fucking assholes set the whole world back twenty years, way to go Ohio!

Is that The Confederate Yankee or a Nelson Rockefeller Disney autotron? given the bs it is spouting it is hard to tell ...

Finally I'd love to Snydley Whiplash the driverless care engineers to some railroad tracks ... during commuter hours.

Ah, but Malibu does make me happy Johnny, was just down there, great times in Trancas ...

The car was in driverless mode but there was a human at the wheel capable of taking over. What I’d really like to know is whether the pedestrian was blatantly at fault or whether the car malfunctioned. If a pedestrian steps off a curb in front of a car, it doesn’t much matter if it’s driverless or not.

I hope there are repercussions over Facebook. I have my doubts.

All great points my friends!

Ron, I would agree with your chronology for our generation, but I am starting to have more and more faith in Millennials, despite their many failings one thing most are not is haters.

Kosh, I appreciate you wanting more details (that is so like you! admirable ... I miss you guys when I am on Maui and can't get online regularly) but nonetheless there is NO WAY I want to sit in the back seat of a driverless car, despite knowing how well the sensors are designed for lane change issues, etc., I'd rather go back to driving my old 5 ton International Harvester with caliper overdrive.

We're quicker to blame the victim than the technology.  Won't be much of an AI/IT quantum to allow hovering transport just above power lines treetop-bridge level . . .

J.P., be careful when you you are actually defending a known thief, Mark Zuckerberg, or a sketchy outlet like Google who says they do no harm, then does. Like it or not, the Rethug strategy of keeping their voters out of good schools and making sure they are semi-literate on a whitewashed, revised curriculum is working like a charm, for the moment.

Think you and I should sit down and share a cyber beer, Maui. I've been preaching Internet (especially social media) security for years, and generally get a "well, I haven't done anything wrong, so why should I worry?" response. THIS sort of shit is why. You are exposing yourselves, your families and your friends. And your friends' friends. I very briefly had an FB account -- under a false name and using a proxy server/address -- to see what the hullabaloo was all about. Sheesh. As for Millennials, my personal jury is out, but the current crop of kids (who Amy says are Gen Z) appear willing to fight the good fight. Them, I'm behind.

I honestly don't think there's any difference between the generations other than its quite a different world now.  After all, let's not forget what our parents thought of us - our music, how spoiled we were as opposed to those growing up during the depression as my parents did, our politics, views on civil rights, rebelliousness, etc.  As for self-driving cars, we've had ONE death and I'll bet it turns out that she wasn't paying attention or jaywalking or whatever.  ONEdeath!  How many people were killed just this week by assholes behind the wheel?  I say the sooner they take all the jerks, drunks and friggin assholes out from behind the wheel - the better.  Sorry to offend anyone - which isn't my intention, but let's get real  Of course there's always gonna be deaths and accidents, but so what?  You can save 50,000 people a year from needless deaths.  So what if perhaps 1000 dies from some mess up (which is unlikely)?  That sounds a hell of a lot better number than 50,000.
