Cora stretched and yawned when the first rays of sunlight shone through the little portal in their cabin. “God,” she said. “I’m exhausted and famished. Let’s get breakfast.”
“Ditto and ditto,” Jake said. “I guess I’ll put on my golf clothes now.”
“Wait,” Cora said. “I think I’ll wear this white dress I brought.” She slipped on a floor length white dress with buttons down the middle. Pulling the top of the dress aside she asked Jake in a playful voice, “Do you like this?”
“God, Cora,” Jake laughed. “Of course I do.”
“Do you think other…other men will as well?”
“Jesus, Cora,” Jake gasped. “Do you want to be looked at some more?”
“I do if…if you want them to look. You said it turns you on.”
“You may have to close one more button,” Jake said. “If being looked at turns you on, then I want you to be looked at, but...”
“There are no other buttons,” Cora laughed. “I would, of course, pull it closed but I guess I’ll think about the dress.”
“I’ll think about it, too,” Jake laughed. “If you want to shower I’ll wait and then…”
“No. I’ll shower later. You go ahead.”
The moment Jake entered the bathroom, Cora slid her hand between her legs and let her fingers fly. “My God,” she whispered. “What is with me? I just can’t get enough…oh God…and I’m coming so soon. Good thing ‘cuz…”
When she heard the water stop flowing in the shower, she frantically rummaged through her luggage. “Change of plans,” she mumbled. She slipped on the bottom of a black bikini she had bought especially for the cruise, a pair of tan shorts and then a bikini top that did little to cover her breasts. When Jake, toweling off, entered the bedroom, he stopped and whistled.
“I was hoping you’d like this,” Cora said.
“I do,” Jake said. “In fact…”
He took a step toward Cora, but she laughed and pushed him away. “Save your energy for golf,” she said. “And then for me, later.”
As they approached the dining area Cora slowed down. “I just realized that everyone in there saw me last night,” she said.
“True,” Jake said. “And I’m sure they’ll enjoy seeing you again.”
“But…but the things I did…those guys…how can I…”
“What happened…happened,” Jake said. “You can’t hide. To be honest, it’s a bit of a turn on knowing that all eyes will be on you. Like it was when you gave your pole dance…”
“Oaky,” Cora said as she secretly shuddered inside. “I get it. Let me take a deep breath.”
Gathering her strength, Cora held her head high when she walked into the dining area. Immediately she saw Jess Wilson waving to her. “After you get your food, come over here and sit with us,” Jess called.
“God,” Cora whispered. “It was Dylan who…who…”
“Put his hands on your breasts,” Jake said. “I wasn’t happy about that, but…”
Silently, ignoring each other’s eyes, Cora and Jake made their way down the buffet line, filling their plates with more and more food, pausing only when the pile was so big they thought it might topple. “I guess you are hungry,” Jake laughed.
Cora smiled and touched his cheek. “Do you blame me? I’m sure we burned a lot of calories last night.”
