People sometimes say there's not a whole lot to do around here, and sometimes I'd say that's true.....
But the sunset drives sure are beautiful.
Son's old 1988 stick-shift red e30 BMW is pretty fun, too.
The green wall is cool
as is the sunset over hills. That’s a little like they look here.
A stick-shift gal, eh? You and Red would get along just fine. When she still drove, she wouldn't have anything but a manual transmission.
Nice shots, great colour, JT.
all pain is political
lucky ol' sun gets to keep going when the day is done
Thanks for the comments ~
Yes, I've gone out of my way to find manual shift cars to drive, all my driving 'career.' Makes driving so much more fun.... and the way this old Beemer hugs the curves - and the roads around here have endless curves - is a true treat.
Only one car have I owned that wasn't stick shift, it was a mini van, right in the midst of the three boys and sports and friends phase of life..... highly practical and more than depressing at the time, although owning a car at all is a good thing when one needs one. I've never gone for anything fancy or luxurious, give me a zippy reliable engine and a manual transmission, any day (this gets harder and harder to accomplish over the years).
My self-identity and that mini van did not mix ; )
I will be impressed by some of your Red stories for the rest of my life, Bo, especially the readying/taking apart of your machine for you, although I've forgotten the details .... very very cool.
