The Worst Ever

You told me that I'm the worst you ever knew

And I haven't a clue

When I never laid a hand on you

And I never raped you,

But I tried and I tried and I tried and I tried

And I even cried

And I tried and I tried and I tried and I tied

I damn near died,

So I'm the worst that you ever knew

Maybe that much is true

When I never laid a hand on you

And I never raped you,

I tried just to get on your good side

That much is true

And I tried and I tried and I tried and I tried

And I even cried,

You told me that I'm the worst you ever knew

But I never beat you I never raped you

That much is true

All the good I tried to do and you never knew!

But I cried and I cried and I cried and I cried

That much is true

And you denied you denied you denied you denied

And I damn near died,

Once I was young and strong knew how to get along

Before I met you

I tried just to get on your good side

And I tried and I tried and I tried and I tried,

That much is true

Now I live in a world without you

Yet I tried and I tried and I tried and I tried

To get on your good side,

You told me that I'm the worst you ever knew

You believe that's true

And I tried and I tried and I tried and I tried

And I damn near died.

Never raping someone isn’t exactly a recommendation unless perhaps the woman in question had been raped by another.

Kosher, unfortunately the new measure of normalcy or decency will be those women who have escaped molestation or rape as it is so prevalent on college and high school campuses as well as even dates and relationships as I can attest due to having 3 failed marriages where these women have experienced this in their lives. Society has evolved into a predatory environment where this behavior even under exposure has become far too frequent and far too contributory to influences that make successful emotional health even more rare in the quest for lifelong companionship. If you have been lucky enough to escape this aberration in your marriage consider yourself fortunate. The world no longer leans toward what was once considered secure and assured.
