The War On Civil Rights and Social Justice Has Begun in Earnest

During the campaign for the Presidency, I warned that a Trump Presidency and Administration would result in an attempt to 'deconstruct' the framework of the hard won gains in Civil Rights of the past 60 years.

Just as in wars fought on foreign soil, brave and heroic people made patriotic sacrifices and paid the ultimate price in efforts to preserve, protect, and defend the principle of equal justice under law and guaranty equal protection of the law as articulated in the 14th Amendmentment to the Constitution of the United States.

The current administration has begun to take aim at all that has been achieved in Civil Rights during the lifetimes of those of us who dedicated ourselves to securing those rights and making the endeavor our legacy to this country and the world.

My tag line at the conclusion of such posts and comments was:

"If you don't believe me, just watch.":

Civil rights protections wither under Trump, Sessions:

The best Americans knew. That's a reason for The Resistance.

@TM; As I've been saying, the people that Trump screws will be the people who made it possible for him to do so....

This President's callousness is only exceeded by his shallowness.

@RP- All true, but, lets look at something: The Confederate Yankee is no longer welcome in NYC. He cannot land Air Force One anywhere near Seattle, or Chicago. There will be unrest everywhere, from more types of people than we ever saw in the sixties, this time it is everyone good, and screw the haters who will be petrified to show their faces anywhere nearby. He cannot land in LA, to see his golf course overlooking a surf spot too good for him or the other snobs who try and control it, but he couldn't get there on the 405, too easy to close with a human chain. Oakland? HA. He would never come near the place. SF- they are so ready for him, but he will not take the bait. Miami, makes me proud of the South, no way Trump could land there. I could go on, but, lets face it, the good people of this country will not allow them into their lives. He goes to the Confederacy and Military Bases and Third World Dictatorships and that's it ... some leader, eh?
