The genesis of the Trump agenda :

And where it came from:

Simply stated, Trump’s agenda is to undo everything that Obama did during his term in office, (and over 50 years of advancement and progress in civil rights and environmental protection), then blame Obama for the consequences.

Oh, and by the way, racism and the threat of war make excellent smokescreen covers for the misdirection and slight of hand re the Russian connections and personal profit schemes....

FOLLOW THE MONEY!

I agree with the "Follow the money" idea, but I think you need to look at which direction it is coming from.

"Good Democratic Party members" all gleefully scream "It's the RUSSIANS (again)", but the big bucks are actually coming from asshole 1%-ers like Bob Mercer (and his nasty ass daughter).

@Amy; The political money is one thing.

The criminal money is something else entirely.

My admonition to follow the money is about the entanglements of Trump in the government sponsored criminal conspiracy of Putin and his Russian oligarchs and cronies.

Criminal conspiracy from Trump's position but smart capitalist from non-terrorUSt$ oligarchs’ position but why is it up to Putin to adult day care Trump to protect him from consequences of his lusts for self-enrichment, power over others in the u.s. homeland which created this Trump.  A u.s. specimen of a man who is well proving his capacity and endurance to trump u.s. democracy, though the costs for u.s. bearing such foolery is far from being easily calculable as our reality accelerates toward abysmal delUSion in a culture armed to the gills, effectively brain dead but hopefully just some comatose state that is worth awakening from.

painful to watch ron, as smugness and condescension never looks good and looks worse in hindsight.

i never voted for obama or clinton. i go with a platform- the green part puts principles before personalities:

@mbj; - "...the green part puts principles before personalities..."

The problem is "principles" don't win elections.  Strategy wins elections and people of principle rarely are able to combine their ideology with a winning strategy.

My take on this is win the elections first....

The Green Party can't win without a winning strategy and the people heading the party aren't ready for prime time,  high stakes politics....

Bernie Sanders got shafted by the Wasserman-Shultz DNC, and the idiots are apparently about to fuck themselves out of a golden mid-term opportunity.

Some one has to step up and stand out as the candidate who can beat theRepublicans at their own game on their own ground .

Not as tall an order as one might think...

Democrats need to stop pretending that they can win without a full-throated commitment to the interests of the common person.

The day of the Democratic limousine liberal is at an end. ...

Bernie Danders had the right social message and Elizabeth Warren had the right economic perspective and perception.

And Warren had Trump’s number. ..

I truly believe that a Sanders-Warren ticket might well have erodedTrump’s base and won the election despite the Russian "meddling".

But we'll never know and the Dems are about to fuck it up again.....

The second problem with platforms before personalities is that platforms don't govern. Governing entails a whole lot of skills to put a platform into effect, at least in any form of democracy, plus a whole lot more to actually run a country. Alternate power centers don't just go away. How does one deal with them?

AGREED!

However the first problem is , and will always be, winning the elections.

You can't begin to develop a governmental posture, tone, direction, plan, scheme, concept , paradigm, etc, etc, etc unless and until you win the goddam elections.....

Without winning , everything else is just so much political bullshit.

The Democrats should know that by now.

That's why I called it "the second problem."
