....People with stronger ties and higher profiles in Russian government and politics than they have in the United States:
Ask the whole question
@Myriad; The very sad thing is that even if we are able to force him out of the Oval Office, take a good look at what he'll leave behind.
@Kosh; On several occasions you very adeptly catalogued and listed the reasons why Trump’s candidacy was a dangerous farce. At the same time, I repeatedly said the he and his followers and supporters should not be underestimated.
Now, his presidency and administration represent a clear and present danger to the Republic.
I have stated again and again that Trump isn't nearly as dangerous as those who support and follow him.
We're in more, or worse, trouble than we can imagine ourselves to be in if he and his henchmen and henchwomen maintain the allegiance of even a small number of hard bitten zealots.
We're quickly coming to the point where there are too many questions to ask re the legitimacy, viability, and stability, not just of Trump, but our systems and way of life.
Bannon has put a label on what he and many of the others believe they are in place to do.
They believe that they are there to, destabilize, deconstruct and disassemble the whole of United States Government.
You may take a turn at "asking the whole quetion" any time you wish. Your doing so would likely be much more widely accepted in this environment.
Too many people here are uncomfortable with such rhetorical polemics and intellectual exercises coming from me. I'm too arrogant, uppity, and condescending or some such bullshit.
They would resentfully insist that I answer the question for them to see if I'm really as intelligent as such questions, inquiries, and interrogatories would purport.
Causing people to think is what I do best. That doesn't go over too well here because "this isn't one of my classrooms, it's just social media".
It's your post. Is your question about Russian loyalties, or why these guys have been appointed, or what? If you want help with the answer, fine.
Yes, Bannon in particular is more dangerous than Trump. He would destroy the country in order to save it but his actions wouldn't save it.
Watching and waiting.
Apparently this is going to be about money.
Tons and tons of Russian money.
All of the men shown above are up to their necks in huge Russian money deals....
The question is transactional not ideological:
Is Putin "buying" the United States Government through Donald Trump?
That's why Trump’s tax returns are crucial to understanding any or all of this.
Heh. This is pretty funny considering Hillary and Bill Clinton's strong ties with people involved in Russian politics and business. Between the Clinton's personally and their Foundation they have received well documented millions of dollars in speaker fees and "donations" from their "Russian connections".
If you are slamming Trump and his people for doing this, where was your angst and anger aimed at Hillary doing the same thing (or much worse)????
Are you saying it is okay for Democrats to do things, but not Republicans??? Seems to me that if it is wrong for one it is wrong for both, but I'm sure not seeing calls for both their heads.
Amy, in case no one has told you, the Clinton's are now and forever out of politics. They are part of our history now, right. Dragging them up from the dead accomplishes nothing.
Amy, I was uncomfortable with Hillary's nomination from the outset. In some respects, your commentary was the reason for my discomfort. You shed some light on certain aspects of the Clinton dealings from a perspective that I tend to be less aware of than perhaps I should be.
However, that being said, there is no real comparison or parallel to be drawn here.
What Trump and Putin are doing makes the suspicious Clinton dealings look like 6th graders trading baseball cards in a schoolyard.
