Are we going to have withdrawal symptoms from all this excitement? Will we miss tuning in to see the latest Donald Trump travesty? Will people ever stop hating Hillary? I'm going to miss all the drama and high emotions. Ordinary life will be back to boring and the trouble makers will fade into the background tending to the endless investigations to come.
I forget that most people don't fixate on politics. When you have kids the rooms are filled with cartoons and real drama that kids are so good at. "Where's my toothbrush? I don't want to go to bed!" They put a different perspective on the importance of the election. I happen to think it is a big deal tho and Im proud to be going to the polls tomorrow with my granddaughter and daughter.
The other daughter is not registered and doesn't care who gets elected. Ok. I have come to terms with that. She is a good person and will be fine no matter what. Even tho I want to shake her and point out the horror of not voting, I realize she has always been like this and isn't going to change now. Politics is not worth the fight sometimes.
At other times it is worth it and can define who we want to spend time with. I am mad at liberals who hate Hillary and I am mad at the Trumpites. I keep thinking about the two electoral votes in Washington who will refuse to vote for Hillary even if they have to pay a thousand dollar fine if they go against what the people vote. Even if it means trump wins?
I like this view of the sunset through the screen door. We are on an endless grid...One thing is connected to everything else. There are many levels and lots of bleed through. There are holes in the grid too and we need to be wary of that.
