Hollywood Aviary

Oh those empty words Hollywood has to say
Some fashionable gibberish from a screenplay
Popular banter but nothing to relay
Only superficiality in this modern day,

All those hallowed moments on the big screen
Misleading as the real truth goes unseen
Where whores and sex addicts preen
All of the senseless politics upon which they lean,

Where fools and sycophants become legendary
Where the blood of sacrifices flows like an estuary
Where their minds think as deeply as birds in an aviary
Society in awe of exhibitionists thinking they're extraordinary,

Where boys are seduced by cougars and old fools plunder girls
The innocence that's lost from the starlet's golden curls
Self delusion descends like a fog as the juggler twirls
This is the hollow content that unfurls,

Mom and Dad fantasized of a better life as they dreamed
Of being on the stage but they don't hear the scream
Of lives that are lost in the spotlight beam
It's all so fabulous or so it seems,

Like sheep being led so cluelessly
Audiences marvel at an illusion presented seamlessly
Where souls are lost unable to see so clearly
That they have been seduced so frivolously,

A world so far apart from ours we'll never know
It beckons us from the dreary lives and seeds we sow
Suddenly the mirage reveals the gleam of a casket's glow
The end result of too much drinking and too much blow,

Here is the true Hollywood unveiling the final destination
Hidden from us all through our dim fascination
Life is not an act, a play, or a dazzling presentation
Something we'll all answer for when we've met our devastation.

Stick to the broken-heart shit. This is garbage. What you see, of course, is that ART IMITATES LIFE. You need only look at what Hollywood has wrought to hurt the country immeasurably (Birth of a Nation, Gone With the Wind, basic villainization of Native Americans, Amos & Andy racist hatred, ad nauseum) to its many contributions which merely reflect FACT: example, from Fox of all studios, the Award winning "Pinky" which taught credulous imbeciles like yourself about the evils of the mere existence of passing ... and the list goes on and on and on and on, try Malcolm X or Black Like Me or one of thousands of others, watch Rochester make a mockery of being a Black American, watch train scenes with all the BLACKS serving ALL THE WHITES, for decades of film and TV ... this may be the worst poem you have ever shat out, occasionally you do OK with your own woe is me crap- not here.

Maui I could point out just as many and even more socially detrimental and social engineering ploys beginning from Cecil D. DeMille glorifying Pancho Villa who raided Texas border towns and tortured captured US cavalry scouts! to the dumb mother fuckers glorifying promiscuity, drugs, drunkiness, revolt against conventional values that have all led to the degeneracy of society by desensitizing us to violence, accepting gangsters murdering police and innocents, villainizing our soldiers! Hollywood has had its entertaining moments but with that more often its subversive influence! Drug abuse, alcoholism, abortion, domestic abuse, all forms of behavior objectified by Hollywood! Hey, I like Dirty Harry Movies, some movies about WWII Korea and the Vietnam war knowing it desensitizes a person to horrific but the story behind all of it is more important! But, no once could deny that Hollywood has had a massive social impact!

Bullshit, blacks and latinos, and asians, have been played to look like fools since the dawn of film in the USA, and to some extent even in Europe. Maybe if you Tejans hadn't STOLEN Tejas Villa would have played nicer. I think you ought to go watch the original version of Shaft with Richard Roundtree, that may straighten you out...

Maui you are a total reactionary. And if any fucking industry ever painted Indians, blacks, Latinos, and Chinese with broad and irrelevant brush stroke was your coveted Hollywood!

Idiot, the government controlled the media to the full extent it could, McCarthy ring a bell?; the real stories tell themselves, like 12 Years a Slave.
