A Little Bit of Black History?: The First Democratic Socialist?

We've been there at least since the FDR New Deal...

However, the real  precursor to modern day welfare (democratic socialism in America) might be traced to Abraham Lincoln....

The Freedmen's Bureau, formally known as the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, was established in 1865 by Congress to help millions of former black slaves and poor whites in the South in the aftermath of the Civil War.

The Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen, and Abandoned Lands, usually referred to as simply the Freedmen's Bureau, was an agency of the United States Department of War.

The first director of the Bureau was General Oliver O. Howard the individual for whom Howard University, "The Black Harvard", is named.Initially proposed by  Abraham Lincoln, the Feedman's Bureau was established by an act of Congress on March 3, 1865,  approximately a month before Lincoln was assassinated.

Reconstruction was a huge success, until the Union Troops were pulled and the terrorist Klan reverted to their heinous ways. To quote the type of idiot who votes for Drumpf, "Keep your gub'mint hands off my Medicare!"

Of course, Social Programs are absolutely necessary for not just the lower, but the Middle Classes. Even the so called Upper Class can be ruined by a medical or bankruptcy emergencies beyond their control. Just how stupid are the so called average citizen? In my view they seem to finally be getting smarter and the more accurate herstory as portrayed in this post, the better.

Everyone should read the truth on Reconstruction, and the GREAT accomplishment done by Black Americans before the terrorists (American Taliban KKK and White League) took things back over with their money to buy firearms and explosives and organize.

Shortly after the end of the American Civil War, members of The First Congregational Society of Washington considered establishing a theological seminary for the education of African-American clergymen. Within a few weeks, the project expanded to include a provision for establishing a university. Within two years, the University consisted of the Colleges of Liberal Arts and Medicine. The new institution was named for General Oliver Otis Howard, a Civil War hero, who was both the founder of the University and, at the time, Commissioner of the Freedmen's Bureau. Howard later served as President of the University from 1869–74.[13]

U.S. Congress chartered Howard on March 2, 1867, and much of its early funding came from endowment, private benefaction, and tuition. (In the 20th and 21st centuries an annual congressional appropriation, administered by the U.S. Department of Education, funds Howard University and Howard University Hospital.[14])

Howard didn't have a black president until 1926...

While Howard is a National Treasure, and alma mater to so many including Kamala Harris among many, many other prominent and well respected academics and professionals. Despite the tragedy that it took until 1926 to get a black president, what it really is a GIGANTIC refutation of all the lies, lies, lies of Reconstruction created by that traitor seditious hater terrorist Confederates who most certainly not USA Americans, but actually CSA terrorist scum who couldn't make it on their own, and frankly, couldn't even make money with free labor as they were complete assholes and idiots. Their terrorism began before the war, continued throughout it, and kept on going until, well, now. These KKK, White League and various hater dirtbag pieces of shit contributed nothing to society but false fairy tales about Gen. Sherman who DID NOT burn everything all the way to the sea, do he did kick their white asses up down and backwards on his march to the Ocean. These scumbags MADE UP the lies of carpetbaggers and scalawags, then, as the nadir of race relations peaked, they elected the Klan member and head scumbag Woodrow Wilson, filmed Birth of a Nation, the source of cross burning itself (there was never a cross burned by Klan scum, until they saw it on the big screen and the idea sunk into their pathetic thick inbred skulls, and, well, they still practice it today which tells you all you need to know). In the meantime, what really happened was excelling Blacks and Poor Whites combined to vote in all sorts of great advances and helpful legislation, only to have it derailed first by the TRAITOR Andrew Johnson, then by the eventual pull-out of the Union Army, leaving a void which the Southern Scumbag KKK and White League trash immediately used to take advantage of their financial lead and crush nearly every good thing that had been accomplished while running the black elected officials out of town on a rail and revoking all their good work. Howard is one of the few things that survived. BTW, during this era the idea of "entertainment" was to take in a minstrel show or buy the piano music from Tin Can Alley's biggest sellers, not the white music, but the "Coon Songs" sang by Coon Callers who laughed it up making fun of blacks as oversexed maniacs, gambling addicts, mentally slow, and dangerous, especially to white women. This is all fact, and is the legacy of the Trump Voter. All they stand for started here, and we are going to kick the living shit out of them in 2020 by ANY MEANS NECESSARY.

No comments anyone? Your ignorance to the FACTS is telling ...

The greatest mistake among many in the Civil War era was the assassination of Lincoln. Had he lived, there might have been reconciliation, but hope of that died with his murder, and with that there was only revenge.
