One in five women will be raped at some point in their lives.

In the U.S., one in three women experienced some form of contact sexual violence in their lifetime

40.8% of female victims of rape reported being raped by an acquaintance, 51% by an intimate partner...
Apparently Senator Susan Collins believes that none of these women reside in Maine.

It is clear that she is one of the women of her generation and social milieu who never experienced an unwanted sexual encounter of any kind.

Her behavior suggests that she believes that such encounters are but a small price women must pay for access, admittance, acceptance and inclusion in the highest economic, social, and political echelon of American society.

Her latest vote to confirm Brett Kavanaugh clearly demonstrates her belief that young women must accept the aberrant sexual behavior and advances of potentially wealthy and powerful young men if they are to 'succeed' as a woman, and become a child bearing mate of a man of the 'ruling class'.

The statistics are at

"...are but a small price women must pay for access, admittance, acceptance and inclusion in the highest economic, social, and political echelon of American white, male dominated, paternalistic society."

I added a pertinent detail to your sentence.

It is pertinent because 81% of Congress is male.  The majority of Senators have served at least two terms and have acquired the elitist "Beltway Mentality" and most of them are millionaires who have an "entitled" background just like Kavanaugh and Trump.  It also bears noting that only 4% of Senators are Black (the same percentage as LGBT members, btw), yet Blacks constitute 14% of the population (12% if you only count non-Hispanic Blacks)

So what you have is privileged, white males supporting their fellow privileged, white male.  When you add in worthless women like Collins it will take a major tsunami (fuck that whole "Big Blue Wave" business) to fix the problem.

Just to be clear, the problem is white/straight/male/elitist privilege and the problem is systemic in both parties.  Until the duopoly is broken situations like this will continue forever.

Collins should have been burned at Salem. Nice New England Girl, eh? What will it take for the typical fool to finally understand that while race is typically used class-ism is at the core of nearly everything, and, while names are interchangeable, right now what are referred to as Republicans do not care a white about other people outside their own little families or tight knit groups. I've seen them all over the world, it is not unique to to the US. What is real are the Panama Papers.

Last I heard, and it’s probably substantially higher by now, whoever Collins’ opponent in the next election turns out to be has a war chest of $3 million. At two million it was in pledges to her opponent if she voted to confirm Kavanaugh.

That’s three million for an undetermined candidate.

Like New York did with DCarkansas Hillary Clinton, Maine might could manage to go for a winner against Collins, disrupting Collins' security in the notion that someone running to get elected for U.S. senator of Maine has to be of euro-stock that killed the indigenous peoples or otherwise terrorized or starved out the land's and shorlines' indigenous inhabitants who abandoned their homelands to justUS ideology and predation taking over the forests to be logged for slave ship construction for New York financiers' aka capitalUSt$' investments, profits, philanthropy and murderoUS exploitation of the continent's interior.

Such an 'outsider' elected winner against Collins could promise the electorate to serve as u.s. Senator no more than two terms, be believed, be truthful and be out of there compared to justUS$' Living the Lie, Lying to Live, Lying Live Senator Collins  .

Your full statement is not worth the bakers dozen of squares of toilet tissue it took to soak them into. Get a job where you don't need to sell your soul to the lowest morals.

btw that 20 yo photo /\ wouldn't help one iota making you ms. collins identifiable in a suspect line-up for murder in the first degree with scores of witnesses, congratulations you're another right wing toad in the Trump swamp.

That is an excellent graphic, and that style graphic could be used effectively to illustrate the economy of the United States. Look at the low right corner, at the graphic of falsely accused. That’s two figures out of a thousand.

Make it three. That is the collective wealth of the poorest 40% of America’s population graphically represented.

By the way, 40% of the population would be represented by eight rows.
