Study Finds T. rex Was Not as Fast as Previously Believed

Study Finds T. rex Was Not as Fast as Previously Believed:  The image of T. rex as ferocious predator has been taken down a notch after a research team, using a series of “bio-mechanical techniques,” concluded that the T. rex could only run about 12 miles per hour and had to make a living either by attacking large, slow herbivores or hiding and then attacking smaller animals.  Oh come on - next they’ll be telling us that T. rex was actually a vegan who’s demise came about by the destruction of all the organic, gluten-free salad bars shortly after an asteroid crashed into the Yucatan peninsula 65 million years ago.

Should Captains Be Expected to Go Down with the Ship:  The Costa Concordia Tragedy has sparked debate among seafarers as well as the public at large as to whether its reasonable or even necessary to expect a captain to go down with the ship.  And while this debate is specifically concerned with seafarers, some sociologists are cautioning this kind of thinking might also convince some women to start referring to their sexual partners as “captain.”

Key Executives to Leave Equifax After Data Breach:  Equifax announced that its chief information officer and chief security officer would leave the company immediately, following the enormous breach of 143 million Americans’ personal information.  Upon leaving, the execs said it is their hope that they’ll be judged by all the people they made sure were denied loans and not one silly, little data breach of 143 million people.

If you look at the anatomy and physical characteristics of T-Rex the conclusions re food source can be that it was a scavenger not a henter.

Nearly all predatory land animals catch and hold their prey with front paws or limbs...

The front or upper limbs of the T-Rex are nearly nonexistent and functionally useless for the purpose of holding another animal...

The huge razor sharp teeth are suited to piercing the hide of the carcass of an already dead meal......

Yes, in fact many paeolontologists believe T. rex upper limbs are more suitable for playing the piano than distroying prey.  That said, as of this printing, no pianos from that era have been found, so there's no way tp validate that theory.
