I was going to preface this with something witty or at least interesting, but as usual it's now too late in the day and I'm too tired to be witty or interesting, so I'll just admit here that one of the reasons I (re)joined Our Salon was so I'd have some new people to inflict my pictures on. Unfortunately, even here in this relatively antisocial media space Lorianne has so thoughtfully carved out of the Interwebz for us, quite a few of you will have seen some or all of these photos before since I have used them each at one time or another as Facebok cover pics, so I apologize in advance to anyone for whom this stuff is yesterday's news. To all the rest of you, let me begin by saying, "Here is a picture of my van. As you can see, it is parked in front of my house. Here is another shot of my van, but this time it's parked in my driveway. And here is my van again, but in close-up so you can see my new fuzzy dice hanging on the rearview mirror and some Bondo work I recently did on the hood. Now, in this shot, which I took from inside the garage, you can plainly see my van's bitchin' chrome bikini chick mudflaps, while in this one.... "

Why yes I do believe I recognize a few of these. Nice work, nana.

OK, this really is Americana, eyes are open now. You really are in Oakland, that's right near where I put my telescope on Fort Point lefts from. Also, the Golden Gate Bridge from the north is a cliche shot but that one is as good as any, captures it beautifully and you were pretty close to Deadman's Reef which does live up to the name.

excuse me, from the west not north ... went back and looked at it again, that's a terrific pic.

they're all wonderful, beautifully composed.  love the landscapes.  especially love the livestock shots.

but the seascapes are powerful, particularly magnificent.

the serenita composite is beautiful and loving and a heartbreaker.  even if I didn't know what she looked like, I'd know it was her.  the last shows you guys had a lot of fun.

you're an artist.

Such a wonderful eye for skies, and the sea, lovely women with fire in their eyes and fire on the prairie. Admiration here Nan,  really beautiful.  Each one had me thinking it was my favorite.

You are good with the cameras. Don't worry about the spacing `~'

I argue photography is about having good subjects. You have to be in interesting places. Knowing when the light and angles are proper, and having a soft hands touch on the instrument, yeah of course, duh. You've been to the interesting places haven't you though, is what I'm saying. How about a sea adventure? Sam from Siska, the Flint Hills. And you notice what's there, and that it's worth capturing.

Yes, good subject in interesting. Anything outside NJ has the potential of being good in interesting. Sunset over the water at Truman Reservoir below. Good subject. You had to be there. I was there. Being there with eyes open and instrument in soft hands allowed this shot. Do you love it Terry?
