so we have come to the point where the idiot is so desperate to sign SOMEthing, ANYthing meaningful and really real and legislative, something that smacks of law, something beside his executive orders, elaborately finished with his giant signature (which seems to me anyway, to be getting bigger and BIGGER as time duly marches on) (a signature which one might liken to a large hunk of wilted parsley on a really shitty sandwich in a really shitty restaurant), that it's possible any bill that squeaks by both houses, will get his signature.

and then there's bernie selling his single payer and the dems are jumping on it and the polls are all hopped up on it, with 60+% of doctors agreeing it's the way to go and economists making a case for the idea because single payer is really medicaid for everyone and we all LOVE medicaid.

and this puts pressure on the right to come up with SOMEthing legislative in the repeal replace craziness of their world, which of course they won't because they know whatever evil they put forward, will in fact be political suicide to actually pass, which was the problem weeks ago, when mccain put them all out of their misery and gave the ultimate kabosh to it.

are we on the road?

we have an idiot who will sign anything and a congress desperate to pass anything to shut the idiot up.

medicaid for all.

it has a nice ring to it.

PLUS:

did I say everybody LOVES the medicaid/medicare from coast to coast, up and down, in and out - we all love and trust medicare? yes I did but I'll say it again in case you missed it - everyone LOVES medicaid medicare! woot!

I wonder - will this bird fly?  I would just love to see it - yes, it's a very remote possibility, that's easy to call - but these are weirdly weird times and hot damn, until they impeach the idiot, ANYTHING can happen and CAN ACTUALLY HAPPEN.

FACT: wouldn't the jelly idiot LOVE to outdo obamacare?  I think he'd spontaneously ejaculate if he could pull THAT off - to steal obamacare away from obama AND replace it with something totally better and monuMENTALLY HUGE - like all roosevelty and shit.

so with that thought in mind...............

ps.  bernie is SO fucking smokin'.  he's got them ALL bewitched bothered and bewildered, doesn't he?  even the hill, she just can't help pointing her clueless little finger at him.

Single Payer may come to pass, but it will be over the dead, trampled bodies of elitist Democrats like Hillary Clinton, Paul Krugman and Nancy Pelosi.  They all want to keep Big Insurance, Big Healthcare and Big Pharma happy because...  well...  just follow the money from them right back to these corporately owned whores.

Agreed except aside from palosi who is barely holding on to power (or whatever might be called democrat power..... maybe wishful thinking or paradise lost or something golden from the days of yore), no one is listening.

The issue of single payer is never going to pass.  I would love it, but the best you can do is start it as a public option.  That allows it to grow slowly.  Even that has little chance.

I had to look up details...

from Bernie's site:  https://berniesanders.com/issues/medicare-for-all/

and then had to read more for explanation:

https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/9/13/16296656/bernie-s...

We'll see if it has a chance. What we currently have going isn't going to last - and frankly, too many can't afford the monthly dues just for bare minimal coverage, what I keep hearing from those I know.

Maybe 45's need for a success will have interesting surprises.

I know I avoid going to the doctor when the budget's tight, which it always is. Today, for example, in attempt to get the almond harvest in this morning, I was out there at 6am to harvest before the ground bee nest woke up. That didn't work and I got stung 11 times. Not allergic so I didn't worry too much, but rather than go to a doctor I looked it up to assess and to know what to look for, see what I could do at home.... how many do that *with more serious health issues* rather than risk a bill they can't afford?

Bernie understands and takes action in directions most do not even bother to care or think about, as far as politicians go. He makes them all look like greedy ruthless callous robots in comparison. Whether this passes or not, he's showing The People what we need out of a political leader and that has already caused change.

Just got an email about this - there's a petition to sign as Citizen Co-sponsor which will be added to bill sent to the House, I guess.

Hahah. Oh yes.

anna.

Bernie is a smart liberal. The time for his run was right. And he knows theres never been a better time for single payer.. The dems are a disorganized poorly led mess, its every one for themselves so pols can vote their conscience..

My husband was right there, first year on obama care.. He was earning a decent salary and we could barely afford it then because he didnt qualify for the subsidy. he had to have medical coverage but it hurt.
