REVERBULATION

life evolves in the way you revolve around it,
in it, of it, between or agin' it, by what you see.
in the pathways that you choose to take or forsake,
you set stake in what is yet to Be.

forethought and afterthought commingle
in the space over which you preside.
you can only learn what you bring by reception;
you can only rearrange it by changing your mind.

in Life's series of opportunities and choices,
what needs to Be will keep tapping, like a bridge.
to see is to release regret, and have faith in that past;
to know from mistakes what was the hitch.

the hitch in leading others to make assumptions
is in leaving them to assume by their own, One place.
we all have only one skin to live and thrive within,
so it's a mighty gap to dovetail other's Logic, or Grace.

you can rail of your failures, or demand respect,
boast your fame, or blame life for your demise,
but ever more elusive the claim you chase becomes
when your suppositions only demean your own Life.

it's only assumption that the world revolves a you
that says 'I meant,' or 'You did not understand.'
your hunger bleeds out, obvious onto others,
and you never get what you want by those demands.

a ruse is as easy to use as a coin tossed;
you try your Luck, by intimidation, or whim.
if your presence stops at the end of your nose,
you won't see your own begin, or end.

but others do; it's intrinsic.
that's where Spirit lies, and does not ever lie.
those who know their Selves have their own realm,
and they alone allow or disallow what comes inside.

by hook or by crook is a cute adage,
but it's actually a hard life to heed.
endeavor has a life of its own, by effort,
and if you can do that, you could also lead.

your path is just the little patch of ground you tread.
make it small, distant, or make it hopeful and wide.
the only way to get to any Where you'd like to go
is simply by realizing your own longevity's stride.

And whether he knows it or not, it's likely why he owns the farm now.  It just came about that way.
