In April of 2011, during the White House Correspondents' Dinner, President Barack Obama roasted Donald Trump in a manner the like of which this country had never seen before.
In a few short minutes Obama didn't merely destroy Trump, he virtually obliterated Trump.
In the most passive aggressive style anyone can remember coming from a president, Obama unceremoniously mockedd Donald Trump over birth certificate conspiracy, Celebrity Apprentice & his presidential ambitions.
He did this before an eager and giddy audience full of journalism luminaries and executives who approved of the skewering of Trump with loud and raucous laughter and thunderous applause.
All while Trump was present and unable to respond while his goose was being cooked right before his eyes, in his face, as it were...
You can see by Trump's facial expression and body language that there was nothing to do but stick a fork in him, because he was, most assuredly, done.
In my view, this single occasion can go a long way toward explaining Trump's deep and abiding dislike and disdain of the press and his obssession with the repeal of Obamacare.
So here's the question:
Has Trump's presidency to date been little more than a pent up and delayed reaction to the mirth and merriment that occurred at his expense that night?:
