Reuters Exclusive: Trump says he thought being president would be easier than his old life.

Trump won the Republican nomination and the Presidency thinking that being President of the United States would be a piece of cake.

His thinking and the thinking of a number of the Trump faithful was: After all, if a black guy can do the job for eight years, how hard could it be?

In  his recent  interview with Reuters, Trump was quoted as saying: "This is more work than in my previous life. I thought it would be easier."

Oh, really?

Pure conjecture on my part. Trump is already showing signs of a readiness and willingness to quit...

This Presidency thing is not what he thought it was going to be. It doesn't fit his life, lifestyle or level of intelligence, competence, or temperament.....

If he isn't caught up in an impeachment procedure first, there's a fair chance he'll resign by the midterm elections...

I'll take 3 to 1 odds....

He is the molestor hockey coach version of a Palin hockey mom so could so see him bailing half-way, to the sound of applause, his work done. A half-Governor and a half-way to a decade of prosecution half-Prez.

It's the one thing Trump has done or said I appreciate.

He admitted the job of president is really tough, much harder than he ever thought it would be.

I'd bet money they *all* thought it at some point, we've all had our own thoughts on which president/s ought to have said it before this one (Shrub, for one, imho), but no one else has ever admitted it that I know of .... and this guy of all people owns up.

For that, kudos, Mr. Trump.

I doubt that he'll resign unless he's facing impeachment in the Senate.  More likely he may chose not to run for a second term.

If the Democrats retake the Senate, he quits.

If they get both the Senate and the House, he's impeached.

@AH; I doubt he made the statement out of humility.

More likely he made it as though it were a revelation to his supporters. As in, " Did you know that Lincoln was a Republican?"

Next thing you know - he'll be complaining about carpel tunnel syndrome for signing so many bogus Executive Orders.  BTW - I like your odds.
