Sent from Kim Gamble's daughter Arielle,  the beautiful service booklet  from his funeral,  I thought I would share here.

(Personal note, I find it so heartwarming that we played the same songs here that very night at our send off for Kim.  Perhaps we knew each other far more than we ever imagined )

I'm just gonna sit here and think about Suzy and Kim sitting up above, drinking a beer together and telling jokes to each other about us while this song plays.

Thank you so much for this road of tributes.  It has all made me think so deeply about life and what we leave behind.  He was such a beautiful soul.

Yes Jmac with thanks to a certain DJ

Amy, that's a great thought, it's the same song my son picked out for us to dance to at his wedding so holds a lot of significance for me too. Beautiful!! thank you Amy.

Jeanne it is beautiful, as Kim would say "isn't it"

Thanks Kosh

Most welcome Z,  I wanted to share with everyone here, it does bring to mind our legacies. thanks.

Hello again, Rita. I'm pleased that Kim had such a good send-off. As I said elsewhere, he was always very kind, thoughtful and insightful in our various exchanges over the years; I was awfully fond of him. He's another I'll miss.

And Amy? Just perfect -- you have a gift. If I may add (with apologies to Rod Stewart for corrupting his lyrics) "Where the ocean meets the sky he'll be sailing...."

Hi Boan,  these where sent from his family, it appears he had a beautiful service and his daughter also offered to send me the readings from the journals they read that day and a tape of the service which is incredibly sweet and I am so touched to be thought of.

Kim was an English teacher before he was known as an artist, he enjoyed a well written story that is for sure,  yours were among a real crop of good people we had awhile ago on the other site.  Thanks for coming by Boan.

As I mentioned before, we had our send off the same time as Sydney, I am sorry you missed it, I just couldn't moderate it any more.  Take care you and the little Red haired one.

How lovely of Kim's Arielle to send this to you.

How lovely of you, Rita, to share it with us.

His ... was ... such a great heart ...

and we feel it ... still ...

always ... will ...

Thinking of you, Rita, and of a shingle beach ...
