in memoriam August von Doggus 2005-2016 (and all the other OS'ers who've passed.....)

It's closing time at the Restaurant at the End of the universe. As the universe fades in the background, the Maitre 'd approaches and says softly, "Your car has arrived, sir". You turn to him smiling and say,"I must complement the management, Gabriel, quite a good show this evening. " and he replies, "Yes, sir, it always is, isn't it?"
You are generous with your tips and compliments, and small gratuities and kindnesses on the way out, for you aren't taking anything home with you except a warm and good and loving experience ( or not)
And you and your family depart for home, having had a satisfying and amusing evening.
Meanwhile the bouncers roll up their sleeves and prepare for a long after time of patiently ( or not) playing the game of "You don't have to go home now, but you can't stay here" with the hopeless hysterical drunks who just want "one more for the road" while the roadies tear down the night's scenery and begin maintenance.
"The Rapture" is My Retirement Plan
There is no other
Either you go with god
or "You" goes up in smoke.
Either way it's ok
You wake up with your SELF
Pascal's is my preferred wager.
In the abscence of proof, why believe something that frightens you
or makes you unhappy?
When the reaper approaches
will you flight or fight?
Why not say "Beloved!, let's go home"
But "Hume" is it who comes for you?
or is that Hume comes for you?
your own Humesian Self.
There is nothing in your being
nothing in your perceptions that make up your Real I ty
except your perceptions
There is no reality except the Real I ty of your Self
and its interplay with your perceptions that produces
Your illusion of a separate world.
It is an illusion
The world does live as one:
