Rachel Maddow rant on Trump distraction end game and the news most people didn't learn today or yesterday

http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow/watch/maddow-trump-behavior-hurt...

Decent minded people were predictably and deliberately distracted by Trump's vulgarity towards Mika Brzezinski in a display created and timed with the Trump administration being informed by the WSJ about their story on Flynn's collusion with Russia to hack Clinton's emails. Other stories people overlooked? Trump defiance of SCOTUS immigration decision, an administrative decision to shut down the only office of voter enhancement that protects the integrity of voting, an administrative decision that the 2016 voting machines will not he audited for tampering of any kind, that... . You get her drift. Worth the watch imho.

I find it amazing how many otherwise intelligent people continue to be distracted by this stuff, I learned during the Clinton presidency that nefarious deeds will be done while we're looking for stains on dresses. I know that other people did, too, because they talk about it, yet those people still insist on blathering on that the misogyny is the most horrible thing that we have to deal with. And that Pence would be better than Trump. The only thing Pence would do is calm things down so that no one would get out the vote in the midterms.

Why should anything change about Trump's approach? He got elected by distracting, always having something new so the last thing couldn't gain real traction.

And he knows people will always go after distractions because he does.

@ Sophie - true, yet, somehow the use of distraction in politics is still new to many of the public...who may already be distracted from so many other things.

@koshersalaami - that IS perhaps his genius, if we stretch that word thinly. He changes nothing but the lies.

@JMac - too funny.

@Phyllis - we need a triple play - Trump, Pence, and who's next? Except that leaves us with Orrin Hatch. We're doomed. You're right...2018 is a must win. But, the office of free and fair elections got closed down while the public was distracted. Yet...there's hope.

@Terry- conservatives care about Jie's opinion, which is why i am relieved he reversed himself months ago and publicly dropped his support of Trump and that he and Mika are committed to bringing him down. He speaks to the moderate conservative wing which we NEED if there is to be ANY actions by the Tea Party R's to someday hold Trump marginally accountable.

@Ron - Rachel is worth watching for many reasons, especially as she is one of the top to-the-left-of-center msm news anchors who gets lots of knowledgeable in-the-action agency people and journalists in for interviews. Thx for sharing the link.
