Progressive means Reversing Corporatists' Privatizing Gains while Socializing Costs

Progressive means Reversing capitalUSt$' Privatizing Gains while Socializing Costs

There’s more than one thing I would like to know from all candidates in contention for further nurturing progressive human capacities for love for our own species and others, for empathy, for truth, work and love for self-worth derived from contributing to the common good at home and globally.

Reversing capitalUSt$ gains is a Republican no-no never to be seriously thought about.  It’s akin to one thinking about resuscitating Eisenhower-era progressive taxation of income, muchless think about ever paying down the debt.  It’s like thinking about death being one's returning to the eternal, infinite voidness that death is rather than death being the sentient, loving paradise we wish it were.

One hypothetical that I’d like to address to a candidate supportive of progressive ideals that is really not a hypothetical at all, but rather, it’s an absolute certainty:  this military-industrial economy nose-diving into abysmal darkness on never-ending lies, myths and delusions.  When next the financial self-serving ‘services’ strike the reality-wall in the course of their plunge to fiscal hell, shouldn’t the government this next time not save them from their inevitable fate, which fate will necessarily include us all if we again let them use the very same government they invariably disparage and cheat with impunity?

"...shouldn’t the government this next time not save them from their inevitable fate..."

They should be required to save themselves or perish....

As an Eisenhower kid I find it hilarious that these vermin consider those the "Golden" (read white) Years, yet, they really do not want to go back to them, just force everyone to watch Leave it to Beaver and Father Knows Best over and over ... sometimes you do make sense mok

Exactly Ron.  Perish they must the next time, just as sure as the sun rises so that it can set, there will be a next time and they will demand all they can take.  It is predictable in Republican to Democrat federal executive branch transition periods that GOP economic terror rains down in tandem with horrors strewn to further stretch greater isrealHell Beruit to Islamabad,, Republicans poison the well then force Democrats to not only clean it up but bear shame for getting so stinking foul while doing so.

mau, yes there is in the u.s. korean war vet generation a Joseph McCarthy communiphobic lot for whom their whiteness and non-combat military service paid off handsomely with g.i. student and home loans.  One such individual i've known and sometimes worked for over the past three decades is just such a person.  He's always been an Ohio Republican, white as snow but not always a multi-millionaire.  He wasn't a Trump supporter until that was all that was left for his capitalist-loving, government disparaging, tax-hating head to wrap around.  He and I don't talk politics past a sentence or two.  He lives his hypocrUSy without hesitation or ethical qualms: loves his two thousand dollar per month of Social Security income and Medicare which healthcare has to have been made close to or more than a million dollars lighter just covering his healthcare for the past eight years... but the idea that social security is a human right, that healthcare is a human right,, those ideas, those thoughts are muted to non-existent in his mind.

very true moki, how many I have known I cannot count. got free college and a "free" house, but don't forget the banks wouldn't extend so many of those loans into redlined neighborhoods, so many schools wouldn't take minorities, hence the FACT that white socialists household worth is 150 times the black national average. fucking scumbags, a few fought fierce in the frozen turf, most sat on their ass and drank 3.2.
