We've been having some wonderful Spring in Winter weather for the past week or so, today was another day in the 50s so I took the kittens outside and raked up the pine cones in the back yard. It was so messy, after being so tidy when I had wrapped up the fall cleaning, and I knew I would fret about it if I didn't get it done. I picked up 1/2 of a barrel full, on top of my trash to burn, and lit it from the bottom without realizing that the pine cones were too wet to burn. The billowing smoke was so beautiful but I didn't have my camera with me when it started. I was over by the barrel so the sun was behind my and the smoke got an orange tinge from the rays as it coiled out of the barrel and enveloped my house. It needed a good smudging, though, so it all worked out.
I took this picture from my back steps, the shadows and sun rays through the smoke are striking. At this point the smoke was going past the south end of my house and smudging the neighborhood. The pine cones did eventually dry out and burst into flame.
My new eating plan is going well, I have been avoiding all sugar and wheat products and am down almost 10 pounds. I was hoping for a faster weight loss, given the radical changes, but 10 pounds in 2 weeks is nothing to sneeze at. I feel so much better, too. The pain is way down, I have more energy, my astrologer told me that I look brighter. I want to hold my stomach in, too. Not in the oh I should do it so I look thinner kind of way, but in the oh this feels better kind of way. I still want some cheesecake, though. Maybe I can have a slice when I hit 20 pounds. That is some good incentive...
I wore a shirt today that I haven't worn for a long time, too.
Now for some astrology. Wednesday is a Full Moon Blue Moon Blood Moon Super Moon Eclipse at 6:30 a.m. Eastern time. If you want to begin a project that will be of some benefit for humanity, that is the day to begin. The effect of a full moon eclipse lasts for 6 months, you will feel it whether you believe in astrology or not, so why not put it to some good use. I am going to start the butterfly book Wednesday.
