Oxford Student Gets Suspended Sentence for Stabbing Ex-Boyfriend: A judge has created a huge controversy by sentencing a 24-year-old, female Oxford University aspiring heart surgeon student to only a 10-month suspended sentence for stabbing her ex-boyfriend during a drug and booze-filled binge last winter, because he didn't want “one mistake to ruin her entire career.”
Guess the judge just didn’t have the heart to give her a harsher sentence and decided to cut her some slack. Good grief, you’d think he could have at least suggested she take a stab at another profession. Must’ve been one of those “bleeding heart” judges.
That said, I do have to admit she’ll probably make a decent surgeon - after all, she obviously knows how to go right for the jugular. You can bet her boyfriend never dreamed he’d be the first to go under the knife. We can only hope, that as a future surgeon, she had the foresight to use some of that alcohol stash to sterilize the knife she stabbed him with.
Anyway, even if the judge did let her off, as far as I’m concerned - what she did was wrong, no matter how you slice it. And now, there’re reports she’s planning on writing a book about her experience which will be titled “There Must Be 50 Ways to Cleaver Your Lover.”
