Of course he did. This isn't so much a coup as it is a criminal take over.

Chair of the Intel committee, Nunes found at a meeting with Flynn et al where the discussion was about committing illegal acts in the US on behalf of Turkey. No wonder he just cancelled the public hearing.

Okay. At this point, i think we just need to back a truck up to the Administration, cuff em, and start reading folks their rights, find a bunch of court appointed attorney's since what's good enough for the lower echelon outta be good enuf for this lot. Let Merrick Garland be the judge. HC could be the attorney with an assist from white lace collar wearing Ruth. Too unkind?

Ok. Whatabout this? We offer freedom from prison and cheap one way plane tickets in second class to all to a despot autocratic destination of their choosing filled with greedy oligarchs and the trodden poor, ya know, something to match their own personal and political values, and walk them onto the planes with their solemn promise that not a single one of them returns back here and gets the chance to reoffend. We pin a note to their jackets letting their new countrymen and women know that they colluded to subvert justice and commit treason and that they named names while sitting in the back of the truck awaiting trial. We'd hafta set aside some tax payer dollars for 24/7 surveillance to make sure any who do survive their arrival don't sneak back in over the border of course as refugees fleeing danger, or make sure their passports all read something like Abdullah or Hernandez so's Border Patrol would detain them based on their names alone since they'd be naturally drawn to come take advantage of all this country has to offer, including the legal protections they are abusing to hide their activities from the public.

Revenge fantasies are good

Koshersalaami, the gall of some people, heh?  I reserve my revenge scenarios for the most undeservedly entitled.

Terry McKenna, i'm hoping that with the fracturing of the Republican party, and the days of the Republican Tea Party interlopers soon in need of a make-over and new political home to parasitize now waning, soon might be the time to tug a little harder on that loose thread holding this deceit together.  I wish for large thousands of people strong marches for public hearings. Just like with Indivisible and the healthcare issue, the Women's March, all the other "Issues" gatherings, we start marching for standards of our elected and appointed leadership.  If we do not, i think it slips away from us.  Intel alone can't hold the hearings.  As you say, it would take the majority party that intends the worst for us all anyway - Dispensationalists, most of them.  Dearth of compassion.  Up is down and down is up New Covenant thinking awaiting an imagined End Times.  Whatever horrors they commit are nothing in comparison to what they say is coming, tho...i suspect, it comes from their small, dark imaginations all along.

I feel that same sentiment - that seeming immunity to have to obey or follow any ethics laws or sense of communal welfare.  That's what makes them more mafia than political, but they've seized the reign of governing and that is usually what most mafiosa don't want to do - the tedious job of working on behalf of others.  Far better to pay the politician than to be the politician.  But, these folks got religion with Putin and with all their congratulatory heritage backslapping groups and together with their money, fancied they could buy positions and simply push things in the direction they wished them to go all the while lacking the merest of skill at administration and implementation.  These are all self inflated bosses, none of them the workers and doers.  Skill-less in every essential way.  They depend upon the career civil servant - that creature not so easily cajoled or intimidated by either irate public or irate boss.  There are rumors of the Resistance amongst the ranks of federal employees.  Maybe it's not so easily done after all, to run a country, even into the ground.

Immunity from prosecution, witness protection, and witness relocation will be in great demand very soon.

As the rats seek to escape the consequences of remaining on board the sinking ship, they'll begin to turn against one another in exchange for anything that can be salvaged in the way of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Oh, wait, that's what they are willing deprive America of the capacity to protect and preserve for all citizens not just the few plutocratic-oligarchs on the inside at the top.

Outsourcing American criminal justice by placing them in a foreign country ruled by the very kind of dictatorial cabal of the super wealthy there would just give them the opportunity to attempt to continue with their self-serving plots , schemes, and conspiracies of personal gain and greed at the expense of of the general population wherever that might be.

It would be like throwing bre'r rabbit into the briar patch.

My solution for punitive measures would be to force them to live at the bottom or in the margins of the socio-economic system of subsistence and survival right here in the good old US of A,  WITHOUT the "benefits" that make such subsistence and survival an unrealistic and unrequited hope.

Prison would become an unattainable fantasy for most of them, and a reality that is too good for all of them.

Ron Powell 2. You are, of course right about exporting them to wreak havoc on others. I was seeing visions of Putin's men welcoming them with the warmth of a shark, tho.

The fact that they will throw themselves upon the mercy of the court, so to speak, to leverage it for themselves IS of course why they're doing their crimes here and not in some despotic regime - ir's a much softer landing when ya get caught.
