The President made me cry today, tears of joy that is!
Obama bravely (really can't sing) led worshipers today with a wheezy (he does smoke) but still powerful rendition of the same song (along with "The Dance") that I chose for my son Aaron's funeral in 1991. Just never gets old.
You lost a son?I'm not sure I knew we shared that. How old was he?Obama was actually on pitch the entire time. I listened very closely. Now I am impressed that the musicians found his key. Not everyone can do that. (I can, but most of the musicians I've worked with would have problems.) I'm not knocking that singing.
Yeah, he was 18, i.e. car wreck, kid driving steered into the back of a semi one morning enroute back to college retrieving caqssette from floor. Never knew what hit him.
Sorry that you two have found common ground in loss. As always President Obama does the best he can with what he's got. We lost some innocents in Charleston, but over the last few days, thanks to SCOTUS, we've gained some bit of redemption. Let's hope we continue to see the same kind of common sense rulings in the future when the case challenging Texas Voter ID laws comes before them. R&L
Fred I'm very sorry to hear that.
I hope we (widely, as a whole) can quit calling O a mooslim now Fred.
Obama makes me cry every day, for reasons I suspect are very different than yours. Fortunately relief from his assault on the principles that made America great and powerful is clearly in sight.
I have a great idea. How 'bout EVERYBODY SING!
