Good painting, very invocative I think. I wish you success and satisfaction with your art.

I like Jon's comment of 'edgy and warm.' I agree.

I am curious about the dragon - to me it seemed at first like a nod to the night and vices and the sinister joy of 'taking down' those who indulge or even just walk in the dark.... but with a re-look, I'm not so sure and now see a more whimsical version as you stated with 'Mulberry St.' nod.... but I like the painting just as much.

Curious what you were thinking about.

Hi Anna,

The dragon was an afterthought. I was going to add a devil figure, emerging from the subway. This is  "Steve" , who pops up in my work from time to time. However, Steve seemed a bit heavy handed, so I thought a ghostly dragon--- is it really there, or is it your imagination? would be a fun thing to add instead. I see the dragon as chi, neither good, nor evil.

Gee, I haven't been on here in a while and new to your art but I love these!
