Hello from Fargo

This is Gatsby the foster dog

J my mate has taken to doing this thing, this fostering

Gatsby is the third actually, and the best

I call him Ghostly. Seems fitting

Gatsby? Come on

In a short few days this fellow has gotten under my skin

See how he gets all up on me so casual and awesome

Maybe it's the robe? Naah

Ablonde from old OS says he might be my spirit animal

I read that and went hmmm

Could it be, finally?

I've been waiting patiently

Frankly, I had given up!

Great dog.  Does he have to go to new family?

The deck is awesome! I knew you were going to go bonzo for your own house.

That is one pretty dog. I see why you call him Ghostly.

What a beautiful dog. And sweet, too. Look at him, all sitting on your lap like a big ol' baby. I wouldn't be able to part with him. He looks like he belongs with you.
(Yes. Nice deck, too.)

The best fosters are the failed fosters.

I've toyed with other G names too, like Gatlingburg, Galapagos, Grafiki, Germaine .. uh, Giblet .. but it comes back to Ghostly

If he has to leave Wednesday, because he does, I wonder can he remain my spirit animal, if in fact he is? I'm thinking yes.

Yes the deck is good, thank you. My spirit animal, I hope, helped this weekend as you can see. Like most improvements around here the deck isn't done. Well it is, the deck, but the pergola is yet to fruish. It's become an economic albatross of sorts. Might have to wait to purchase the rest of the cedar which is high.

Why do you say 'hello from Fargo'?  ps.  Sweet dog, love the robe!

Oh you didn't know JJ .. ok

Fargo is of course a popular North Dakota tourist destination, a place of great beauty with deep and distinct cultural roots. But the place I was greeting from is one where counter-culture freaks such as myself know and speak of in darkened rooms while exchanging sly and knowing winks. On a deeper level, unknown to many I suppose, Fargo is not a physical place, no .. it's a destination that only be reached in the mind, either under the influence of certain substances [the novice approach but it's where most start], or simply through "stopping the world" altogether, quieting the mind through breathing exercises, focusing on a point of light in the minds' eye; the roads there are varied, virtually limitless. It could be said that no two humans take the same path, but the destination we all seek but few find is Fargo .. or far go. I was there, though only briefly, yesterday Julie.

Well, that explains it. You'd *have* to be high to give up a dog like that. Trigger! Don't give up your spirit animal!
Btw: you look like (a younger) Eric Clapton in that pic.
