My Little Brown Cow

My little brown cow you're still with me somehow
My little fluffy cat you were gone just like that
It seems that life is the loss of all that's dear
Their ghosts still whisper in my ear,

Lover you were sometimes these feelings stir
I melt into the shadows of my room
My choices are emptiness or gloom
Life still goes on from dusk until dawn,

Just wondering which street that I'm on
Wondering how it all went wrong
My little brown cow you're still with me somehow
My little fluffy cat you were gone just like that,

My Marine Corps Dad you lost all you ever had
I watched life deal you these cards
As the window of life breaks into shards
My little brown cow you're still with me somehow.
