There are some things that are too funny to explain. You have to be there or hear it for yourself. Sooo, a while ago I noticed that Siri (mine has a male voice with a English accent) was calling me Every Day. No, he wasn’t calling me every day but was addressing me as Every Day. Some of my messages that I sent were noted, at my end, sent from Every Day.  I noticed that my name was changed on my account too.  Right under Anne Armand was typed Every Day.

Yesterday I had an AOL problem, which also had to do with messaging. While I had the tech on line I explained my Every Day dilemma and she suggested that I contact Apple. My Apple tech thought it was very strange, but she had an idea. Did I at anytime ask Siri to call me every day?

It dawned on me that I had. I was on a medication that had to be taken with my dinner meal, so I asked Siri to call me every day at 5PM to remind me to take my pills. I thought it was pretty clever, but did not realize that Siri thought I was asking to be called EVERY DAY.

Tonight I spoke to Siri as directed:

“ Hey Siri, what is my name” I asked.

“ Your name is Anne, he said. “But since we are friends I call you Every Day.”

This is Just too funny to change. If I am every too upset about something stupid and want a virtual hug, I'll just call my darling Siri English male friend and ask him the same question. I think he really, really, likes me.

Had I paid attention to what I was taught, the things I say to my car or computer would never be said.

He clearly, clearly, does like you, Every  ; )

This is too funny! I've avoided these types of technology like the plague but my son thinks Alexa is fabulous. A new world. I feel like the fairly young old lady shaking her cane....

We have Alexa.  Alexa has no sense of humor.

Siri, on the other hand, does.  Mine has the woman from Atlanta's voice. Today I asked for directions to a restaurant.  Siri informed me that she couldn't find it in my contacts.  I rephrased the request and each time I was told that the name could not be found in my contacts.  Finally, in exasperation, I said, "Use maps.  it's not in my f**king contacts."  Siri responded, "Rodney, if I could I would blush."  We were able to work it out.

I won't deal with Alexa, who only seems to want to sell me things. I buy enough stuff without any help, thank you. Siri, though, has a lovely male Aussie voice that I find very cheery and it's amusing to have him -er- it available. The BLP still has his flip phone and only talks to humans. Luddite.
