Melania Demands White House National Security Official Be Fired

Melania Demands White House National Security Official Be Fired:  The office of first lady Melania Trump is calling for the ouster of deputy National Security Adviser and John Bolton confidant Mira Ricardel, amid reports that Ricardel quarreled with the first lady's staff during Melania’s recent trip to Africa over seating arrangements on their plane and over the use of National Security Council resources.

So, if I’m understanding all this correctly, we now apparently have Melania Trump making major National Security Council staffing decisions.  I’ve gotta hand it to them, when you factor in the influence of people like son-in-law Jared Kushner, daughter Ivanka, son Don Jr and the rest of the gang, it appears as if the Trumps have managed to transform the entire functioning of the United States Government into kind of a second-rate mom and pop operation.

Of course, some are gonna argue that Melania has no business deciding who our National Security advisors are, and I sort of agree with them.  Not that I have anything against Melania mind you, but I’ve just always felt that Lindsey Graham would make a far more effective First Lady.

But, as her staff always likes to point out, Melania “does things her own way" - which, I have to admit, appears to be true, that is, with the possible exception of when she’s plagiarizing Michelle Obama.  All I know is, if things get any crazier here in Trump’s America, I may have to ask to seek refuge in the Slovenian embassy.

We’ll see if Melania’s demand is met.

I’m not sure which embassy I’d trust these days, ever since the custom of the Khashoggi Welcoming Committee was introduced into diplomacy by the Saudis.

Melania Trump wore a $51,500 Dolce & Gabbana jacket to meet with spouses of world leaders at the G-7 summit in Italy. This jacket cost the people of the United States more in negative press and morale...

The mom and pop operations I knew as a kid were not as profitable as households with two wage earners....

Long hours and hard work we're the hallmarks of such places that gave the owner(s) the sense and satisfaction of being self employed...

Perhaps Melania is uncomfortable with the idea that somebody in the administration disapproves of her taste and selection in wardrobe for certain events and situations....National security matter or not, she would have been trying to get me fired for my observations and comments about her choices in apparel...

Pure speculation on my part that this is the cause of the dissonance and the flap...

Mom and pop operations don't/can't pay for $50,000.00 jackets...
