"We must beat them with a winning narrative, not just winning debates." ----RP, Our Salon
The really sad thing is that she will be running against a Republican who will now be "super" funded and rigorously supported by the Republican right wing (read Koch Brothers et al). Meanwhile, she will be virtually ignored by the DCCC and will be damned with faint praise (like that shit Pelosi pulled where she praised the primary loser and barely mentioned Ocasio-Ortez).
That the elitists in the Democratic party will do their "best" to make sure she doesn't win isn't surprising, btw. The very last thing they want is for people to see that TRUE "quasi-Democrat" progressives can win. They would rather see a Republican win than give up any of their power. I guarantee the DCCC will "Sanders" her. Whether people "semi-DEMEXIT" and vote for her is yet to be seen.
She is such a relief. What she’s for more than what she’s against. Emphasis on plan rather than just grievance. Absolute refusal to lose focus. She looks like she’d be difficult to fluster. Clarity, clarity, clarity. The sense and especially the discipline to treat Trump as irrelevant. And clearly a good tactical/strategic mind: Her observation that it doesn’t take that much to turn an election with low turnout was a great one. Don’t take the base for granted. I hope she stays as much as possible like this in Congress. I love how her level of experience seems so far above her age. She’s seriously impressive.
I don’t know what kind of resources the Republicans will throw against her. They may conclude she’s in too Blue a district to waste too much money on trying to block her, particularly given what happened to her last opponent who vastly outspent her.
Does anyone know if we have a history yet on how the DCCC reacts when faced with a nominee more liberal than they want? Not in a primary, in a general election. Are they worried enough about keeping the seat to commit resources or do we even know yet?
Following up on the above and some things I’ve heard: How does the DCCC react when a candidate doesn’t follow their directions?
"How does the DCCC react when a candidate doesn’t follow their directions?"
Ask Bernie Sanders....
...you also might ask Kara Eastman and Ben Jealous who the DCCC still refuses to add to their "Red to Blue" support program.
BTW, (and I already know the BS MF will spew), can you see the difference between a Progressive and an Elitist (read DCCC clone)? One congratulates the winner and the other only mentions her as a footnote.
@RepJoeCrowley has been an unwavering champion for America’s working families for almost two decades. I salute Chairman Crowley for a formidable legacy of achievement for the people of New York & congratulate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on her victory.

Sanders was a primary candidate. I'm asking about general elections. When the DCCC is "stuck" with a candidate (contrary to their priorities), do they support them against Republicans?
One "winning narrative" subverting democracy domestic and foreign is our corportists' successful Trump card dynamics ala this moment Chairman Mr. Issa at House and now Mr. Cicilline mobster style monologue at u.s. house judiciary committee interrogation of FBI Wray and Rosenstein.
kosh, you distinguish between Republicans and Democrats the way you do between isrealhell and zionism
