Trump's 'alternative facts' re the response to the humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico :

Carmen Yulín Cruz, Mayor of San Juan on the realities of the crisis:

Trump has begun to blame the egregious disconnect between the realities of the crisis in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and the administration's response to it on the media's reporting of 'fake news':

Fake News CNN and NBC are going out of their way to disparage our great First Responders as a way to "get Trump." Not fair to FR or effort!

Donald J. Trump

The Fake News Networks are working overtime in Puerto Rico doing their best to take the spirit away from our soldiers and first R's. Shame!

And in typical Trump fashion he is going after the people who dared to criticize his administration's response  to the crisis and tell the truth about the situation as they see it:

As a rule, I don't use unprovoked or unsolicited epithets.

This situation clearly requires that an exception be made...

@Amy; It's absolutely amazing how Trump can continue to lie in the face of every imaginable visual aid that refutes everything that comes out of his mouth.

Listening to the mayor, there is no mistaking the desperation in her voice, nor the validity of her question about the logistics of,that small an island. None.

''' Trump says he won't benefit from his tax plan. That's nonsense. - - Paul Waldman

President Trump wants you to know that his push for tax cuts isn't about him. As he said during his big unveiling on Wednesday, the new tax proposal is only to help "low-income and middle-income households, not the wealthy and well-connected. They can call me all they want. It's not going to help. I'm doing the right thing, and it's not good for me. Believe me."

If you've been paying close attention for the last couple of years, you know that when Trump says the words "believe me," it is a clear signal that he's lying. This is no exception.

Trump has been adamant that he won't profit from his tax plan. Asked by a reporter whether he'd benefit from the plan, the president responded, "No, I don't benefit. I don't benefit. In fact, very, very strongly, as you see, there's no — I think there's very little benefit for people of wealth." … '''

How can otherwise intelligent citizens be so dumb as to trust being led by lying sacks of shit?  Freedom of accountability ensures our intelligence is rarely to never challenged by the longterm consequences of our, our nation being held accountable for something even partially resembling equitable distribution of wealth after and since the Civil War; held accountable for U.S. perpetrated coups, anti-communist/pro-fascist, right-wing horrors and refugees in Latin America; held accountable for genocide and ecocide in Southeast Asia; held accountable for consequences of U.S. mujahideen destruction of Marist Afghanistan; held accountable for becoming warmongers and enablers because we can be so easily appeased by self-affirming, self-deceiving, self-serving lies, aka The American Way.

Trump should take the money Price spent on Airfare expenses & hand it over to Puerto Rico!  Then on Tuesday - get in the water with waders!
