March first thoughts of spring but winter will not go
~ 10th line wood, Mississauga, Ont.
Depends where. I was in North Carolina a week and a half ago and forsythia, fruit trees, and daffodils were blooming.
It's 70 degrees and the sun is shining here in Bastrop... Global Warming??? Excellent as always. R&L
I know his feeling well, MC!
Spring is very late here on the Southwest side of the Puget Sound. There have been cooler temps than most years. It seems more like the familiar late winters on Long Island.
The jasmine bloomed a few weeks behind schedule, and the heather is just starting, also playing catch-up. Most years, the broom has been full of little yellow sparkles by this time, on its way to the brilliant color overload of April and May, but this year there is nary a twinkle.
my chives pushed up! yay!
Always the longest time of year, February till spring! Hoping you find a place in the sun anyway.
Thank you all for coming by reading and sharing. Its still winter here, cold today with snow this morning, the ground is frozen so nothing is growing. But it can’t last much longer.
