"No."  says Miss Kindergartener.

   "Oh, come on" says Grandma.

   So we did.

             "I've been swimming down there."

             "With your dad?"

              I shuddered.

I drove back along the coast before dark hit my neighborhood.  My two daughters are on the move again and my quiet time sinks into the background.  I edit my photos on my computer and it is amazing what I salvage and play with.  It is addicting.

I took a picture of the ocean out the window of my car as traffic was stopped at the bridge construction that has been going on for over three years.   I have been looking for whales as there have been early sightings this year.  I love the way the clouds are reflected in the vast ocean.  There is something about being so far out in the middle of the Pacific that is exhilarating.  There are amazing mansions on this coast.  It is crumbling into the sea and yet the houses cling to the view.

I love to document my days on my blog.  I dont put much time in it as it is mainly just for me.   My life is littered with art....oh...my granddaughter told me that her next birthday candle wish is going to be to stop litter in the world.   Ahhhhhh....so sweet.  Should i tell her that grandma likes a little litter....?  We found a blue plastic avatar doll in the grass today.  amazing

This is a journey and I feel we are on the brink of some major changes in time and space.  Im on the look out for them and our digital lifestyle is fast paced and adaptable.  Im learning to keep up as fast as I can but I will never know the things my granddaughter has to deal with.  Her world is very complex.  I wish her well in the future.

Yup

Her life will be very different than ours. But we don't know how yet.

As best I can figure it out our purpose in life is to leave this world a better place than we found it.

Wow, you live in such a magical place...I can find the magic here in the Blue Ridge but it is overshadowed by much in the way of "politics," that awful word.  Thanks for reading me and I look forward to keeping up with you...

Good Rob!  Welcome.  Small pond here but mostly friendly.

I think so jmac...

Yes, Kosh.  It could all go to hell too.

I liked this post a lot. Especially the opening- it sounds like the beginning of a novel about families.

Let's go look over the bridge!

"No."  says Miss Kindergartener.

"Oh, come on" says Grandma.

So we did.

"I've been swimming down there."

"With your dad?"

I shuddered.

I was thinking the same thing as Rosigami!

Yes, you got it.  Thanks.  I was thinking some pretty deep thoughts...

Z, you make it seem so easy; how you casually toss out these metaphors. Deep thoughts, indeed.
