My husband knew I needed a little somethin' today.... the note he left read:
Today's Musical Adventure:
Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings
"It's a Matter of Time"
It did the trick : )
Thought you all might need a little somethin' too ~
Okay.... was hoping this would embed, but I'm doing something wrong... any tips, oh savvy ones?
That's what I did, Monkey and only the embed code came up on the post... but will try again right away.
Enjoy this awesome lady : )
Here's one backatcha:
Thanks Monkey (not sure if the high five is for the fix or for the music : ))
Thanks Ron - and for the tune back!
I am only now learning Sharon Jones died in November 2016 of pancreatic cancer at age 60. Oh so young, in certain ways.... what a singer and entertainer! Glad to have found her even if a little late. (Hubs is the musician type in the family...)
FM, I have an interview for a job tomorrow and am SO nervous.... while at the same time, fine.
It has been so many years since I've had to put myself together like this it's almost ludicrous. I've done my own thing and worked at home for ages now. was ready for more.
Husband knew I would need to just *chill out* before I even woke up today : ) Hence this fabulous music!
Glad you like - me too! - plus her effervescence and the way she moves is just beyond.
Thank you, thank you! : )
Interesting song in three quarter time, actually in this case probably 6/8. Still, it's in threes, unusual for this sound.
There's a reason why they invited you in for an interview.
Try to figure out what that is and focus on that....
Chin up shoulders back!
Just be you and you'll be fine....
Kosh, you sound like my oldest brother, he who speaks 'musician'.... I don't remember all the wherefores since my own band/orchestra/flute and piccolo playing days, but I really liked this song - and also, especially, the energy and joy practically lifting out of the video ~ thanks for coming by.
Ron, thank you! 'Stand tall, shoulders back' is a common phrase around here, I've been whispering it to myself for days now. ... and it helps that while I'd really like and would fit well with this position, and it would be a nice new challenge, I'm not so attached if it doesn't work out (although...). Appreciate your coming back with encouraging words!
