I'm in the kitchen this morning. My daughter's boyfriend is cooking, some potato recipe (little red ones) as an alternative to the oily but good sautéed version he and my daughter usually cook, incessantly because my daughter loves it. He says to me

"Do you have any time?"

For what?

It turns out he's saying "thyme." He's never heard of it, but there happens to be a jar of it out on the counter that he finds immediately.

You might think that made me worry about his culinary education. Screw that; it made me worry about his musical education. Everybody from my generation knows what thyme is; if we didn't know already, we learned that it somehow went with parsley, sage, and rosemary.

Here, Kid, you need to know about this:

It could have been worse. At least he'd heard of the artists.

Artie has such a killer voice on this.

As it turns out, the guitar part isn't that hard. I learned it back in the seventies. You need a capo, but at least it's in standard tuning.
