The thunder of heavy rain
on trees covered in new growth
daylight dims, muted tones

Endless spring of rain
deepening colours of spring
yet failing to offer warmth

All washed clean
ground saturated
earth scarred by furrows

Cold and wet, yes, but the promise if spring is there. Your painting is beautiful.

Wettest, weirdest spring I can remember around here, MC, and you've captured the mood perfectly.
