If King were alive today, he'd be going  on 90 years of age;

If King were alive today, neither Obama nor Trump would have become President;

If King were alive today, civil rights, voting rights and human rights would be much more respected in this country;

If King were alive today, I wouldn't  have to write in search of words and phrases I believe he would say in an effort to help keep the vision of the country sharply in focus with its eyes on the prize;

If King were alive today, there would be no need or reason for me and others to beseech you to remember and reflect on what he said and why he said it;

If King were alive today....

Feel free to add a sentence or phrase to this litany of regard and remembrance...

If King were alive today, more White people would actually understand White privilege

I read something very interesting today:  Martin Luther King, Clint Eastwood and Ann Frank were all born in the same year (1929).

Odd how they all seem to have come from completely different times, that two were murdered and that one went on to super stardom.  Wonder what the difference was?  (Hint: Lack of being an "Other" of any kind confers "privilege")

If King were alive today, he would still be marching, even at 90, and he would still be preaching non-violence – just as Jesus did.

If Reverend King were alive today i bet he wouldn't still be singing praises to Zionism.

“When people criticize Zionists they mean Jews, You are talking anti-Semitism” --MLK

More exact words were never said,

and they were spoken by the great civil rights leader, Martin Luther King Jr. -- Jeff Dunetz, 21/01/19

..

or would he still be singing such phrases, Ron?  Kosh?

Thank you for this. I'm thick but why wouldn't Obama have been president?

....I hope that my black friends wouldn't worry about being shot just for driving while black. ...perhaps the police would be more aware and less afraid of the other.

Shoot, my comment isn't at the level of others. Well, this is what I thought of.

He would still be working because his dream is largely unfulfilled. But because of his efforts and those of many others, things are better today. I grew up in Jim Crow Texas and I am certain that much progress has been made. History takes time.
